I disagree. Those activities will provide outcomes. We will all read camp reports and see what we need to see in the preseason. I'm in the camp I hope Geno improves but let the best man win. I don't care who wins as long as we win. But it's in our best interest for the younger QB to succeed.

Ironically, Geno is only 7 months older than Petty with 2 more years of experience in the NFL. We should be rooting for one of the young guys to emerge so we can build around them in next year's QB heavy draft and hope a young stud oline man falls in our lap...but if we go with Father Time and make a playoff run like HYATT predicted, let's do it and see where we land.

Fair point. I'm just confident that with whoever the QB, we should win more this year and be in contention. With our defense we shouldn't expect much from our QBs which I hope take pressure off them. Just one to two TD drives per game.

Well you may remember during camp we get daily reports from cimini about how many interceptions were thrown during 2 hand touch.

Also, geno has played well enough in camp to be the number 1 the last 2 years. Year 1 was de facto, but still. Earning the starting job, did not translate into wins.

A report on pettys senior day, was that he ran pro plays that the Jets noticed. Point being that because his school preferred one offense, didn't mean he couldn't run a different one. Should be interesting to watch how he develops.

If genos issue the past two years was being rushed, why not slow him down if needed.
Imagine these qbs have been here the whole time. You would play the veteran until he gets hurt or loses the starting job. Geno would be your guy in waiting, and petty would be insurance. This requires fitz to be healthy, and outperform of course.
But, all of us armchair fans have to sit on the outside and hope, wonder, and guess what's coming next.
