Fitzpatrick in "not cutting it with other teams" never looked as crappy or had QB rankings as crappy as GeNONONO had for his two years as a draft bust for the Jets
Well you keep caughting on Fitz and I'll keep caughting on Geno and I guess we'll get no where with either one. It really doesn't matter how Fitz looked his first two years or wheneve because the point is he's played for multiple teams for a reason. If that doesn't tell you what you need to know about a 30 something yr old journeyman QB then I don't know what will.Fitzpatrick in "not cutting it with other teams" never looked as crappy or had QB rankings as crappy as GeNONONO had for his two years as a draft bust for the Jets

Fitz is a QB that played in 5 or more teams and could never get it done on any of them or he would still be there. Oh I get it, you would rather caught on a garbage ass QB that has proven over 8 or more years and 5 or more teams that he is garbage. Rather then a 24 yr old and talented QB that has played for two years with one team. A team of offensive weapons that was horrible and a coaching and management staff that was ten times worse. Pretty much set him up for failure. Smart choice! You can count on Fitz to gamemanage and hold the fort
You can count on GeNONONO to throw it into.coverage or worse or run it backwards into a sack and out of a field goal
Fitz is a QB.
Smith is a flop
How many teams are loaded enough on offense to help geno? 5?Fitz is a QB that played in 5 or more teams and could never get it done on any of them or he would still be there. Let me clarify being that it doesn't seem you understanding what I'm saying. Management killed Geno and the team as a whole with their draft and FA selections or lack there of. Geno's first year he had probably the worst WR core in the history of the league. Second year it was a little better with Decker but that's all they brought in. They had countless of chances to draft or sign some true WRs that could if helped besides Decker but didn't.How many teams are loaded enough on offense to help geno? 5?
Garbage management and coaching? Marty had designed some very good offenses, and management gave geno more starts than any other team in the nfl would have. The fact is when geno stunk every game last season, they didn't switch to Vick until they were already out of the playoffs! The actual opposite of your statement.
Like I said, you keep counting on a garbage 32 yr old 10 year journeymen QB that didn't get it done on any team he played on and I'll count on a 24 yr old struggling QB and lets see where it gets us. May the best man win!Hopefully MacBowles and Gailey will have seen.more than enough of Jamarcus II by the end of TC and won't allow him to destroy their careers with the Jets as he did Martys and Idziks and Rex's
Enough is enough. A bust is a bust. Throw out the garbage
Well, that blade cuts both ways. We're they fired because they sucked, therefore fitz didn't get a fair shake from management to succeed. Or, is fitz so bad that coaches who believe in him get fired? Except Obrien in Texas didn't get fired.Hasnt every CS Fitz has QBd been fired?
I'm not arguing Fitz being here and happy he is here. He will push Geno or any QB for the job and that's great. Problem here is ALOT of people are ready to throw in the towel on Geno and seem to think Fitz is the answer, even if its short term and I don't agree. Geno may not be the answer but Fitz ain't either. He wasn't for ten years on multiple teams. If he wasn't there why would he be here? Fitz has already shown us who he is.Well my point is that management was not in genos way, they let him play and learn on the job. And mm didn't hurt geno, he's as good a coach as you could realistically hope for coming into a draft of 32 teams.
I don't get why anyone is arguing. Geno so far has not impressed, he will get a fair shot this year after a complete house cleaning. At no time has there been any rumors otherwise, in fact the fitz move is entirely logical. You hope geno turns around, but you're not being the farm he does. You get a vet on the cheap that knows your system and let them battle it out. Geno is being treated completely fairly by this new management team. With the exception of 2 posters, no one is saying to cut geno, just that we don't believe in his future. But that's just our viewpoint.

HYATT™ bin Givin, (noooo relation to the terrorist either), this matter a lot of thought as to an active NFL QB comparison.
Mariota = less athletically gifted Kaepernick, with a little bit more upside than Red Dalton. Even less NFL-ready than Dalton was, who actually had played under center some as a Horny Frog.
Mannion = nobody in particular and every non-Elite starting QB in the NFL, but most similar to Carson Palmer.
(2003 Carson Palmer USC vs Auburn, with bonus Polamalu appearances.)
There's nothing really distinctive about Mannion but he does have good technique, if his arm is a bit over-rated.
He tends to put his balls high in the arc - like Brees - and has similar pocket awareness and slipperiness. Not a big runner.
Whomever Mannion gets as his 1st NFL QB coach could be the difference between him becoming a long-established franchise QB and JAG who got a shot and never really made it.
He's not a talent to waste and should be brought along slowly for at least 1 year behind a decent OL & veteran NFL QB advisor/backup who starts the season in front of him & not thrown to the wolves on Day 1.
The team that does this, will end up rewarded with a quality QB along the lines of at least a Carson Palmer in a couple of years.

Maybe so but IMO, I don't think Fitz is anywhere close to Vinny and I think Geno is or can be much better then Foley. So we'll see.Glenn Foley was much younger than Vinny when both were on the Jets. I think Parcells went with the Smart choice. I have a feeling Bowles will to.
Yeah, talented. If he didn't have it, he wouldn't have made it to the NFL. Question is does he have enough to stay on the Jets and in the NFL.:roflmao:
