I know he is a next year option ......... but I would love to see how he would fit into the gameplan as anothe big body with Marshall & Decker catching passes from Fitzpatrick..

Agree, clearly a pass catching upgrade over Davis and even Cumberland. Though perhaps his absence has accelerated Quincy Enunwa's development, which has been fun to watch.

Having both of them healthy along with Devin Smith would be nice for 2016 season

Can you imagine us in 2016 with the following players available for Fitz...

Marshall
Decker
Enuwa
Smith
Thompkins
Amaro

That's a hell of a list of targets...

Certainly a slight (!) improvement from the days of Holmes & Hill!

Not sure Kerley will be on the team next year. he saves 1.3 million if gone.

I'm not really sure how much of a role Amaro will have next year.

I see Amaro as a second slot receiver opposite decker in 4 receiver sets. Big bodies in the middle with speed.

I think you under value kerley, who else is going to receive fair catches?

We'll see. I see Amaro practicing on field #2 again next year.

In gaileys offense amaro will do the role powell is doing this year catching the dump-offs. I would imagine we re-sign powell and ivory and release ridley and stacy so amaro will have a role.

IDK about that Renegade. Amaro won't be doing Powell's role. Different position. Think Powell will be back next year, he's been an eye opener. Even taking some of Ivory's reps as single set RB

Who Amaro will be competing with for reps is Enunwa. Amaro was moved to the H-back position, which he wasn't overly happy about. he's much more of a traditional TE, who can't block for a big guy.

Last couple of games Enunwa has really stepped up as a receiver. That 4th quarter play in the red zone against Dallas was incredible. Tremendous effort. Enunwa has always been a willing, and good blocker. If his receiving skills continue to grow, it is going to be very difficult to take any reps off him.

Even before Amaro was injured, he seemed to be in Bowels dog house. We'll see how that all plays out.

well that is what I meant he will be used in the role that powell does now which is dump-offs that is not to say powell won't be doing that also. I just think instead of one guy keying in on powell next year you will see amaro running those short routes just like powell which will force the lb's to stay up and put marshall and decker in one on one coverage.

So who comes off the field for that? Enunwa?. Plus they really need to get a speed deep threat out there to stretch the field, and get the S's off the LOS. (hopefully Smith can return week 8 or so, or some one else) Not another guy to bring the S's up.

Going to be hard to get Enunwa off the field if he keeps on making plays like this at crucial times

Think it's very possible Amaro is wearing a different color jersey.

enuwa and cumberland can be on the field at the same time why not enuwa and amaro.........I think cumberland is gone before amaro.

One thing is that before Amaro was hurt, on the Jets first depth chart Amaro was listed as #3. Like I said earlier, IMO there is something going on between Bowles and Amaro. The fact that he hasn't been in the building with a shoulder injury says something. We'll see.

BTW I also think Cumberland will be gone. Suspect Amaro will be traded. We'll see.
