Thanks Jetgreen for helping keep peace.

Truth be told, we can disagree without getting nasty.
LGM - let's leave the past out of it. Idc what happened at JI/Scout, this is JFU and we are looking for a different atmosphere here. Let's just be civil.

we have an ideal situation here at JFU guys..

i sincerely hope we all recognize it as such.....

+1 - well said.
My two cents: It's guys like the hyatt who make the discussion interesting and informative. You may have to filter somewhat, but generally there is a lot of substance in what he writes. I don't agree with everything I read here, but you have to put it in the perspective that it is opinion. No reason to make it personal.

If we all agreed, this board would have no purpose

Hehehehe, 2 points Wicker was trying to help you unnerstand.

1.) HYATT™ - by virtue of many and deeply researched posts over the past 8 or 9 seasons on scout's and now this Jets fan boards - HAS warranted that sense of self-respect & garnered it from others.
2.) Never has HYATT™ claimed to be IMPORTANT - though viewership numbers have tended to support that hypothesis.
There are notable differences in numbers of posters frequenting boards when HYATT™ is actively posting vs periods when he is not.
Mostly, HYATT™ believes they show up to watch the fireworks when people like you and LGM get into pissing matches with HYATT™ - but he could be wrong.
They MIGHT actually be showing up to read some of the stuff HYATT™'s research turns up.

Because you are unfamiliar with the interweebz construct labeled HYATT™, you miss half the fun.
It's an ACT, it's intended to be - albeit a bit sarcastic at times - FUN, and hopefully even funny at times.
This isn't War & Peace or a world summit, it's just silly football, ffs.
Stop taking it so seriously and definitely stop getting all bent out of shape over teeny little wot-nots.

Well thank you so much for explaining the rules you have established. That is, it is acceptable for you to constantly post condescending quips when anyone dare question you. When you do that you are acting like an ass. Plain and simple. If you don't want to hear it then I suggest you stop talking about your finger paints.

Alright guys. Everyone has gotten their two cents in. Back on topic.

Disagreements will happen. Let's move on. Both of you guys, as mentioned by other posters, provide us with great insight and for that I am much appreciated. Now let's focus our posts on the subject on hand and not on each other!

As far as I'm concerned it's over and done with. Onward and upward!

Just my two cents...

Main assumption;
Trade Wilkerson for a 2nd and 3rd pick in 2016.
Skrine is re-upped by guaranteeing more of his $$ in 2017/18 and possibly adding a year on the back end. He's young enough and Bowles loves him.

Cuts; Cro, Giacomini, Cumberland, Kelley and Winters saves $17.1mm
Restructure: Mangold, D'Brick and Skrine saves $10.5mm
Re-sign: Harrison, Fitz, Powell and Ridley costs $19.5mm

With a cap number of $155.3mm and our current number at $138.5mm minus $17.1 in cuts and $10.5mm in restructures minus the $2.5mm in carryovers plus $19.5 in re-signings leaves the magic numbers at $27.4mm under the cap.

Free-agent signings;
M. Schwartz, OL for $6mm
B. Irvin, OLB for $3.5mm
D. Travathan, ILB for $4.5mm
L. Miller, RB for $4mm.

Draft;
1st round; R. Ragland ILB
2nd round; J. Spriggs OL
2nd round; K. Correa, OLB
3rd round; W. Redmond, CB
3rd round; S. Tretola, G
4th round; J. Allen, C

Summary
Yes, Mac will be giving up his best defensive player (by far). However, if the goal is to become younger and faster this is the best blueprint to make it happen. If I'm Jacksonville or Oakland, I would be thrilled to get Mo for a 2nd and 3rd. You get a young very solid OL in Schwartz, a young ILB in Travathan and significant talent through the draft.

Final note; we'll be getting rid of Mo and Kerley which means we'll likely sign a Larry.
