No one thought Bradford was worth his contract let alone hoods trade value. The Vikings showed desperation increases value.i know he is. but my point stands that thinking he is worth (theoretically) a 1st and a mid rounder is thinking that gets a GM fired.
and wouldn't he be part of the reason the bucs were a terrible team? he was 4-9 as a rookie, then lost his job to josh mccown, and then was 1-4 when he regained his job later that year.
the next year, the team took winston and the 2-14 team improved to 6-10 and then 9-7
to me, glennon is a JAG. if you want to take a low risk shot on him, fine. but i'd rather not pay him like some established QB and wind up like the texans with a $72 million QB you want to bench.
now it's possible he's a franchise QB that just needs another shot. more likely, he's a mediocre QB who isn't gonna put the jets over the team.
Regardless, it doesn't affect us, offer him a contract if you like him. We need an oc, that has a lot to do with who we go after.
And no, glennon wasnt the reason they were bad. The win loss record wasn't representive of his play, but a team in purgatory. He showed he is capable of playing well with sub par talent, we have better players, and he's had 2 extra years to learn. He's also a very healthy 27.
Bottom line, I have no clue if he's good, I'm not a scout. But apparently nfl level talent evaluators think highly of him, they just didn't want to risk a first round pick for an unknown approaching free agency.
