Let me correct or revise my response. A trust and belief in the new regime that they will make the right decisions, by building the team correctly and having legitimate competitions across the board. Bringing the best free agents and/or drafting the best QB, in the later rounds. Having a legit QB competition and may the best man win. This also includes Jordan Travis being apart of the mix.

It may be that Jordan Travis and his agent have burned their bridge with the Jets with their recent claims and antics. It doesn't matter if the Jets were or were not responsible for his injury set back. The guys running the show now weren't even here then and here his agent is throwing accusations at people who might have been in his corner up until they decided to stir up shit. To top it off the kid, acting like a kid, clears all signs of being a Jets player from his on line account. All I can say is that when Travis and his agent were kids they must have believed that the best way to get a dog to like you is to kick him in the teeth while he is contemplating coming to your defense.

But why would he suddenly delete the Jets from his social media? Not because Saleh et al 'rushed his comeback' last November. Could be they've just told him something he doesn't want to hear, like the rehab isn't working and they're going to have to cut bait. With free agency coming up and the draft after that, you'd think that if he was capable he would be out throwing passes and running the 40 for the press to make the statement that the Jets don't need an alternative backup for Tyrod. It was a reasonable gamble with a mid-draft pick but perhaps the house has won.

I smell a rotten tomato in the building and this time I'm convinced that is not the jets. The part of your post that I highlighted is the most logical explanation I can think of. He's under a cheap rookie contract and they haven't even seen him play. If his injury isn't the problem why wouldn't they at least work him out in training camp and find out what he brings to the table ?

I’m ok with them bringing in Justin Fields, AS LONG AS IT DOESN’T COST THEM TOO MUCH AGAINST THE CAP. He’s probably not going to be any good but what’s the chance of them drafting anyone better than him this year? They can put him in a legitimate competition with T. Taylor, Travis (if he’s still here) and even a rookie. Thats if they draft one and may the best man win. Give him a two year deal for about 10-15 million a year at most and just roll with it. If he wins the competition then so be it.

Why would you be ok with it ?
The bears #1 pick in 2021 they bailed on him .
The Steelers were 4-2 and Tomlin yanked him for old man Wilson .
They didn’t have any faith in him going forward .

Especially if a new coaching and GM want to put their stamp on the team .

I started following the Jets towards the end of the Richard Todd era. I get why they have tried to eliminate the Darryl Stingley head shot from the game, but so many other detrimental rules changes in that period. Back in the day the Mahomes flop would have been greeted with derision by all on the pitch, including the officials.

Thing is, as I post the Steelers, who are after all a winning franchise, are predicted to stick with the 'dude that sucks' rather than picking up Aaron Rodgers.
