Yeah, holding Brady to under 50% comp isn't hard, you're right, means nothing...he isn't a defensive genius...despite being the only person in the NFL to do that last year..maybe ever...and he did it with UDFAS at cb.. and kyle wilson...nUff said. The lack of respect on this board is scary sometimes.

That argument is weak. It's like saying Geno is a Top 5 QB in the NFL because he was the only QB to have a perfect rating last year. Again, NE is not the only benchmark of Rex's super overrated defense, the overall job he does is how you evaluate him.

No, the easy argument would be Rex's defense has been top 10 for the last 5 years while Arizona was 24th last year...Rex's defense has never been as low as 24...so when it comes to defensive masterminds, Bowles doesn't even belong in the conversation with Rex...Like Rex is Peyton Manning of defenses and Bowles is Jeff Garcia...rex is the one with the rings and Bowles is the one who has been fired from the position before while rex is considered one of the greatest to ever do it...
The argument was never about who would be a better HC and big picture guy...it was who was a better Xs and Os guy as it applies to defense...Bowles doesnt belong in the conversation with Rex. That doesnt mean Rex isnt Norv Turner...he may be.
Why are people who speak out against the hyperbole surrounding Geno Smith labeled "the Geno Smith fan club?"
From your perspective, you have two options only: you can crap all over the guy and be considered intelligent, or defend him in any way and be considered a fan who has a "love affair" with him, an "apologist", or a "fan club member".

Why are people who believe he stinks and will never be close to a decent NFL QB (based on the actual fact that he has stunk for two seasons) labeled as "haters" and worse by people who.blame coaching and weapons and ownership and teammates and sunspots and climate change and anything but Geno for his failures?

It's the people who think he stinks who are most upset because the coaching staff decided to give the starting job to Geno..for now..even though they feel Geno is so bad he will lose it first chance. No need to worry if Geno is as bad as you say he is and the coaching staff will see just what you've seen the last two seasons.
I'm not making excuses for Geno Smith's play. I've acknowledged that he's sucked on his own. But he's also a young QB that was thrown into an NFL offense after playing a spread offense at West Virginia. Why don't we just throw Bryce Petty in as a starter while we're at it? That'll go really well, won't it?
It's not an excuse. It's a fact. Geno Smith wasn't ready to take the reins of a starting position when he was given it. He's been battle tested for two years. He's taken his lumps. Now he has year three to prove himself. I don't see anything crazy about that.
