3 - in end, trade down worked out. got extra pick used for petty trade up (or stacy trade), a 5th (harrison) and posey and after reading more, i like mauldin and can't help but pull for him

5 - our own 5th was traded (effectively) for brandon marshall and zac stacy. the 5th we acquired in 3rd round trade down used for nice looking guard
7 - our own used on NT. acquired picks us to trade up for petty and zac stacy

I take back everything I said yesterday. Macc indeed killed this weekend, and really all off season so far. The talent upgrade is staggering. The key for me was getting Petty in the 4th round. I haven't been higher on a Jets QB since Chad Pennington was drafted.
The cherry on top was Zac Stacy. That was a stroke of genius.
today was an amazing day for macc. didn't love the trade down yesterday and devin smith wouldn't have been my choice of WR, but today was an A+
I'm not sure how to feel right now. This may be the best offseason I remember the Jets ever having. They have set themselves up for the short term AND the long term.
I'd love to have Mo extended, but let's not forget he's under contract this year and he can be tagged twice after that. Jets have control of him for three seasons, worst case.

I have to admit, the trade down helped secure a huge piece, so that pretty much dismisses any concern I had about the trade from 70 to 82.

Sack I am with you... This is the best draft the JETS have had in years.... I said in another post that these guys know what they are doing and whats great is they do it in a dignified way. Quite self assured both of them. I haven't been this pumped up in years and can not wait for camp and pre season.
Best draft I remember since the four first-rounder 2000 draft, and the best offseason I think I ever remember.
