the idea that enemkpali punched smith in the mouth for no reason is inaccurate at best & disingenuous at worst..

The Jets dealt with the IK punch, as previously mentioned. I assume you also wanted them to get rid of Geno for his vicious assault of chin-butting IK's fist.
As for camp fights, they do happen, both under Rex and under Bowles - and truthfully, a lot more under Rex. Which is why you can't use them to bash Bowles, and then give your boy Rex a free ride.
He owed IK money. Should he have gotten cut for that?
I am no fan of Geno, but if you can't see the difference between owing a guy money and assaulting him, I have nothing for you.
I'm not even defending Geno here. But the idea that somehow the Jets were a more professional and disciplined organization under Rex than they are under Bowles because of the IK/Geno punch is just downright lunacy.

There are gray areas. You can say Geno was wrong, but also say IK was more in the wrong. It's not either/or.
Just like it's not either/or with the coaching situation. It's possible to see both positives and negatives in both Rex and Bowles. While you have not done this, it seems the coaching debate gets oversimplified, that you have to either like Rex or Bowles. And if you like one, you have to like everything about him, and hate everything about the other.
...i liked ryan (a lot) before the train ran off the track.. feel free to ask folks well before you got here about that & i'm hopeful bowles is the real deal..

You act like this is your board, rather than a merging of the two. I had been at scout for well more than a decade, and you act like I just "got here."
And I'm not breaking your balls. All I pointed out was that while Geno was partially at fault, IK was more at fault, and it was really IK's infraction that merited team action. Guys get cut for punching their teammates, not for owing their teammates $600.
I'm on your side when it comes to Geno. I'm no big fan, by any means. But I also think that while he was wrong for not paying back a debt, IK was more wrong for punching him. And I don't think that is too radical a position.
And for the record, I pointed out that my comments about the coaching situation were not directed at you.

As I already stated, trying to compare what went down between Geno and IK and simple competitive scrums that happen on the field is the lamest attempt at making one's argument as anything I've ever seen. It's as bad as people screaming racist for saying Mike Vick was a shitty QB. The only HC to have embarrassing off the field altercations is Todd Bowles and this team still employs one of the shitheads that is at least 50% responsible for the incident happening in the 1st place. You are very clearly incorrect with your assertion that this suddenly now professional.

The players who actually witnessed what happened, and are the leaders on the team, seem to have a much different view of what happened that what you imagined happened.
The story, that was never denied, was that smith ran accross sthe locker room in a threatening manor, shouting at IK, and wagging his finger in his face.
That, by legal definition, is assault. You don't have to strike a person for it to be assault, it just has to be the appearance of an attack.
smith dose have a history of attacking people from behind. Of course mostly an elderly man.

Yes and IK had a previous history of punching an off duty cop, before he broke the starting QB's face. Wagging a finger in someone's face doesn't warrant getting your jaw blown up. Geno is nowhere near the thug that this animal is. You're sure going to great lengths to demonize Geno Smith.
We get it. You hate him. And your spin on his career both on and off the field is noted.
