That was fun. After a shaky start, Harvey looking like Harvey again.

4 hits on the game, but 3 left the yard. Amazing what a couple of long balls will do to cover for an anemic offense. These last two games both would have been 2-1 losses in June. A sweep would be a real nice way to head into the All Star break.

Minor roster move from last night. Don't know if this guy is ecxpected to stay in the bigs or in Vegas.

The Mets have signed former outfield prospect Joe Benson, tweets Adam Rubin of ESPN New York. Benson, 27, was released by the Braves in mid-June after hitting .246/.346/.331 at the Triple-A level. He briefly appeared for the Twins in 2011. He slashed .239/.270/.352 in his brief 74 plate appearance cup of coffee. Once viewed as a power and speed threat, high strikeout rates have limited his productions.

Naturally, now that we are getting the bats going just in time for the All Star Break.

The really important thing about this last stretch of Mets baseball is that Jon Neise has joined Thor, Matt and Jake as a solid contributor to the best starting rotation in baseball

And Matz will be back for the stretch, hopefully
