My feelings on the Adams Pick are similar to Leonard Williams

I'm not sure that's the case. Lots of GMs do the same thing, picking outside the box because they're convinced they know more than everyone else.

Just look last night. I'm not sure a lot of teams had Corey Davis pegged as a top 5 pick. Isn't that an instance of the Titans' front office convinced they are the smartest guys around, like they just pulled a rabbit out of a hat?

However, when you talk about the Jets thinking they're the smartest guys in the room, that automatically draws comparisons to other teams, doesn't it? Isn't that by definition doing so? Presumably, that comment suggests the Jets' front office believes itself to be smarter than the front offices of other teams. Otherwise, in which room would the Jets think they're the smartest guys? Their own war room?

if the jets insist on being the smartest guys in the room for decades, it would be nice, if only for laughs they actually were at least once..

But many teams act that way, both good-drafting teams and others. Just like every team strikes gold once in a while, and every team reaches and drafts busts once in a while.

The Jets aren't the best or the worst. They are what they are, just another NFL team when it comes to the draft.

This is nonsense, Sack. A few good picks that were labeled as "BPA" does not a GM make? Whether you or anyone else wants to acknowledge it, the GM's success/failure is forever linked to the team's success/failure. Makes sense, right? That's logical, right?

The fact is this team had one OK season and one terrible season. So where they are in there 3rd season with Mac, the playoffs should be EXPECTED and that is fair given how long he's gotten to build this team. Yet the Jets are in total rebuilding mode from scratch.

I didn't write the rules for GM's, I am merely giving you the publics perception.

Mac needs to draft much better with players that don't fall in his lap. He needs to show that he can identify talent in later rounds than the 1st. He needs to start this team on a winning path. I'll reserve judgment until I see how he handles the rest of this draft, but he must NET at least 3 starters in this draft. Otherwise, the team is just spinning their wheels and will never become SB champions under his direction.

He has shown he can draft well late, not to mention undrafted players.
