Reading Connor Hughes Tweets at today's practice, you'd think that Tom Brady is wearing #14 for the Green and White. Apparently the kid is really playing well, going through progressions and showcasing his physical talents. If anywhere near true, I'm really excited to finally have a young stud at QB.

It's weird having the local press actually positive about a young Jets QB.
The snark is disappearing. Sometimes I have to double check to see if I’m reading about the Jets.

I still don't get the Bowles dislike. I haven't been crazy about every decision, but I would argue that in 2 of his 3 seasons, the team overachieved. Nobody expected 10-6 that first year, and last year, people expected them to be the worst team in the league, and they certainly weren't that.
I can't comment on his motivational skills and team building, but it IS the in-game decisions for me. Some of his make you scratch your head, the team never seems to make adjustments from their game plan or to what the other team is doing. They come out of the locker room at half time and never look ready.
What he is doing organizationally may be good strategically, I don't think he is a good tactical coach.

I get this. Bowles has made some in-game mistakes. A few have been inexcusable, too. You let those go year one, and hope he grows from it. I think it’s been a little better of late. He’s not a perfect head coach by any means.
But as SE wrote, the Jets were predicted by many to be the worst team in the league. Some people said 0-16 with a straight face. And the team definitely overachieved for what they had talent-wise. Bowles should get some credit for that. Just because he’s not screaming on the sideline and boisterous in his pressers doesn’t mean he doesn’t light guys up behind the scenes. He isn’t afraid to crack the whip when he has to, according to people in the media close to all of that.
I agree......he has much to prove but he needs a team
