I wonder what this says about the health of Amaro. I really liked Lynch a lot as a pass catching TE at Georgia -- but I am biased about Georgia guys. Write up from DraftInsider.net:

That and how deep Amaro is in Bowles dog house. he played on the field #2 during OTA's. Practiced with the bubble players in mini camp.
Even the other night against the Lions he only had 5 reps late in the game before he was hurt. Don't thnk he's one of Bowles favorite players
T-Bo has decent hands out of the backfield for a bruiser.
Chan Gailey and Bowles both said that the depth chart is deceiving regarding Amaro. He's playing more out of the h-back. Gailey told the media "don't read into this any deeper than that". FWIW.

What's concerning me isn't the depth chart, it's that he's not getting the reps either in practice, or the first game
I like the Arthur Lynch addition. He may or may not stick, but I liked him in college and he's worth a shot.
Seriously, how do you come up with this ??? Not at all what I am extracting from this. JETs now know that Geno is going to be ready by week one and they want nothing to do with him. Another Idzick tumor to be cut out. Petty will be fine.

Where do you come up with this? Seriously. If this was true, why hasn't he been cut? The obvious answer is because it's not true....seriously, where do you come up with this crap?
Also...note the GM was quick to talk about Geno returning to the team after 4 weeks...our bye week is week 5...weird that, that would be a good time to switch QBs.
Guess what happened to Fitzpatrick at the bye week last year for the Texans? he was the weakest part of the offense, so they switched QBs at the bye and they benched him (you dont think the texans traded Fitz because they liked him, right)?

Fitz knows all about getting benched at the bye week...dont be shocked if it happens again...
I'm not sure he's even that good. At least Hill would beat a guy for an 80 yard TD occasionally. Evans is a poor man's cotchery that can't consistently catch...yuck

Seems like he is playing himself off of the roster -- especially with guys like Owusu, Graham and Powell having pretty good camps and ability to contirbute on special teams.
...and we'll be carrying 4 QBs to start the season. So 1 less roster spot some place...
Maybe Petty comes up with some phantom injury that land him on short term IR and we keep Heaps as #3 until Geno gets back. That way we can cut Heaps and maybe he'll clear waivers, activate Smith and cut Flynn.
It's gonna have to be something creative and a bit dishonest.

i was reading on one of the fantasy sites that ridley could start the year on the PUP list. so perhaps they go into the season with ivory, powell and stacy and save a roster spot there.
