The 'Vernon G Effect' on Jets fans.skeptical on Ojabo....guy did nothing before this year. Will wait to see how he stacks up once we get to combine season.
Trade 10 get your receiver in the 1st pick up an extra 2nd and take the Nittany Lion edge rusher . I actually like him better than Ojabo anyway .straight up no trades to fill the roster with needs
filling the need of overhauling the OL getting an EDGE, TE and 2 Linebackers would give the team a baseline to continue the rebuild
and be competitive right away
but that means forging not getting additional weapons like top flight receiver in the early rounds, but adding a well versed tight end that can run block ferociously while still run crisp routes and spatial awareness with soft hands to be reliable in the passing game is a must...
now this is just one version, and there will be others, so hang on tight
that was a mock with NO tradesTrade 10 get your receiver in the 1st pick up an extra 2nd and take the Nittany Lion edge rusher . I actually like him better than Ojabo anyway .
yeah I think it's the number of less than impressive passing attacks that Big 10 defenses feast upon year after year. The 'Vernon G Effect' on Jets fans.
Considered that but if the Jets really think Ekwonu is the equal of AVT then just take him and be done with it . Now if we re-sign LDT, then maybe I take you up on your deal, and take Penning or Cross later in the 1st and pick up an OG later .If...
Evan Neal.
Aidan Hutchinson.
Kayvon Thibodeaux.
Go 1-2-3?
I'd seriously consider trading back from #4 to a QB hungry Franchise and picking up an extra 2nd and 3rd this year + next years 1st round pick.
Which one's?
I won’t complain if we should take any of the potential top 3 prospects in this draft but I am stating right here and now that I don’t want any of them.Evan Neal albeit he is the consensus #1 tackle in the draft:
Taking a deeper dive if he falls to #4
He is a massive man, that is the best run blocker in the nation.
He is an above average pass blocker.
He is susceptible to speed rushers.
He has the case of lunging, often.
For an offensive line like ours we need linemen that can block in space, so a player that lunges plays off balance. We need a player that is discipline, which Evan is for the run game. But do we really need a run blocker tackle?
Basically he is a raw project that is below the bar starter to block for our Franchise QB.
Like I said, PASS!!!
Jets coaching staff is high on three linebacking prospects all considered late day 2 early day 3 prospectsOkay but I would still like to add at least 1 LBer . Demone Clark would suffice
