Jets coaching staff is high on three linebacking prospects all considered late day 2 early day 3 prospects

one name to keep an eye on Wyoming Chad Muma Round 3 Prospect
I like him but I thought he was a 2nd round candidate even late 2nd

have you not looked at the position list actually have Muma as a 4th round prospect but because of returnees his stock might propel him to mid to late 3rd...

there are still other prospects from bigger schools way ahead of him and there were some underclassmen that were not projected to declare but did, and they will fill out the round 2 gems...

If you've been looking at the mock draft boards, the "experts" are mostly predicting the Jets will go for CB Stingley and S Hamilton.
Have these folks been watching Jets games?
I'm all for having a good defense, but if they don't do something to improve the offensive line, the Jets will be losing a lot of 7-0 games because the quarterback will be in the hospital by mid year.
Unless they can keep Wilson healthy, this team won't be able to score at a crack party.

One of those top picks must be used for another lineman who can pass block.
Besides, the young defensive backs are starting to look better with experience.

The Jets need alot and we should have been past this point by now with all our high draft picks. If they can get Hamilton @10 that would be a steal. He's Jamal Adams with range brains and less drama. I hope they draft the WR from Arkansas Burk. They need to help Zach with weapons. The Jets have been disastrous trying to draft EDGE rushers and they have a ton of money tied up in that position with Lawson, JFM. A TE has to be a priority also.

Kentucky has a nice receiver also similar to Dotson and Moore . I just wanna give this kid a bigger target at receiver than Davis who’s inconsistent
The way this is going I might consider throwing a later round pick at Metchie and stashing him for a year
I just looked at some video of a WR from Cincinnati named Alec Pierce big and fast receiver. Probably could be had in the 3rd round.

I remember Jets fans hated using a 6th overall pick on "just a Safety" Jamal Adams.

I can't imagine our fan base if we use a 4th overall pick on another Safety (in Hamilton).

Right now the Jets have no safeties and Hamilton is one of the best. A rangy smart playmaking safety is exactly what Saleh's pitiful defense needs. Drafting EDGE rushers are extremely risky as the Jets have not had even a good one in over a decade.

Oh wow that changes everything. First off I hope he's going to be ok.
it is an injury that does not need surgery BUT it will reoccur from what I read
it takes extreme icing and he would be out for 6 weeks
like he was this year for the Fighting Irish
he is a game changer but if it is a reoccurring injury he could be out 12 weeks in a 17 game season, would be huge loss
if he can have surgery and it won't happen again then he is a sure fire pick

Today is the deadline for underclassmen to declare for the 2022 NFL Draft.

Was listening to Brugler and he mentioned JRuckert as a guy who will blossom as a pro because he was underutilized at OSU. Thoughts on the Long Island kid? Perhaps in a later round (4-5)
