👀 Steelers HC Mike Tomlin had dinner with QB Malik Willis last night. The Steelers have not been secretive about their interest in him

I would hate to trade from #4 to the Steelers pick.I would rather take Gardner, London or Walker and trade #10.

Understand what you are saying but you can’t force value balance with need. In other words, you can get a very good wr (need) at 20 and certainly at 10. CB is not a huge need and at 4 too rich, but the right guy at 10 might make sense. Walker is a guy I would consider there because he is best balance of the three. Bottom line for me is if someone wants 4 bad enough and is willing to trade multiple firsts, either 22/23 or 2 2022s plus 2 and 3, then do it.

I’ve got 2 scenarios for Y’all .
Scenario 1 : Jets keep both 1st top 10 picks and take Trayvon Walker and Jordan Davis if available .
Scenario 2 : Jets trade pick 4 to Steelers take Jordan Davis and Jermaine Johnson

it's just not in the Steelers DNA to sacrifice the kind of draft capital needed to get to #4.........they could just be bluffing and let Pickett fall to them.

and Mike Tomlin just had dinner last night with a guy he is not interested in. since Senior Bowl to Combine and Pro Day been front and center to just pretend to like him, sure...

Just reiterating on the deal for Hill and what it meant for this year's draft. Odd that no first round pick was offered. Possibly one or both are set to be dealt. Curious?

would it had mattered since Hill held the deciding vote on where he would play

8 teams have no first round pick this year.......and 6 have two.....so the possibilities are endless as to what Joe could do

my guess is Sauce at 4, trade 10 and move down….. then Jordan Davis, then trade back into late first, best available Edge (or vice versa). Maybe we are going to use a lot of 12 personnel and dink and dunk with the TE’s and RB‘s. Ball control offense….

I was all for taking Ekowonu at #4, but after numerous Posts by gmf1369 I now see his point on passing on him and looking to trade down from #4 to add more 1st and 2nd Rd picks.

If we traded down from #4. what would be a better trade? A trade with Seattle for their 1st (9th) and two 2nd's (8,9) or a trade with Green Bay, their two 1st (22,28) and one 2nd (21).

the Jets free agency moves and focus allows them not have to reach at anyone prospect. if one is looking at the roster they have secured enough talent at key positions opening the door for a very flexible draft night. everyone is assuming the Jets could take BPA, but on who's board? the Jets front office and coaching staff along with position coaches and scouts have been really looking or defining the talents that best fit this style of offense and/or defense. have to remember that the team had an extensive research of talent that went to the Senior Bowl and were able to get to know and research 110 prospects. yes it is a glimpse into the 460 draft eligible players heading to the 2022 NFL Draft.

Finally feels like the the two are in sync which significantly increases the odds of a successful draft.

with the assumed left tackle competition between Mekhi Becton and George Fant, some fans believe the loser would be the starting right tackle. but what if the Jets decide to look in the draft for that staple piece? Evan Neal and Ickey Ekwonu could solve that position, which would make the left tackle competition more of a competition. the loser could be regulated as a backup with the option to be traded. Evan Neal is a known run blocker and played majority of his college career at right tackle. Ickey on the other hand is a known tackle that plays excellent on the move, could open up a situation where they draft a tackle that could fill the right tackle void or another position change could be in for Alijah Vera Tucker or the newly drafted prospect. a lot of variables could happen.

so what do you think?
draft a right tackle with one of the first round selections?
let Becton vs. Fant competition for left tackle be a true competition?
remember Senior Bowl how the entire Jets coaching staff gushed about Northern Iowa Trevor Penning? Could he be pick number 10?
