+1 agree. They were both team MVP's thursday night with Taiwan Jones on D, and all 3 cut ?

I am sure they do. I had heard lots of good things about Owusu & Powell , but haven't seen them myself (Pre season coverage is poor in the UK) so I can't really comment on how well they actually played...
I'm hoping that these guys make the practice squad so get another shot at making it with us...

Toon's kid got cut from New Orleans on Thursday, i'd love to bring him in .
This is the first time that Macc/Bowles have left me scratching my head wondering what they are doing. Hopefully it all falls into place today, we cannot possibly go into the season with no kick returner and only 5 WRs, one of whom is injured and another coming off of concussion.
Only things I can think of relative to Owusu and Powell is they are concerned about Owusu's concussion history, with the most recent coming last month. From what I recall of the training camp updates, I think there were concerns about Powell's ability to field punts cleanly on a consistent basis. I may be completely off base on both, but thats all I got.
Thought I saw a comment yesterday that Owusu is not PS eligible. Just Powell.

According to a source, Chris Owusu is not PS eligible. That means his only chance of returning to #Jets would be on 53-man roster
Can only presume that either:
A) we expect to pick up better after the cuts, if not we possibly go back and get him?
B) the organisation are concerned about his concessions and don't want to take the risk?
C) anything else is possible...

Roster moves are not complete yet:
Waiver period ends at 12noon today for players released yesterday: We may have made waiver claims or will sign players cut from other teams when they clear waivers;
I believe Milliner will go on re-callable IR @ 4pm today: At that time we may bring back a player like Owusu or Powell.
The roster is still a fluid situation.

Very fluid, i wouldnt go nuts about the players that Mac Cut, especially at WR. Lets face it, Bowles & Mac know football and will not get into all the hype on pre-season David Clowneys/Ryan Spadola MVP's.
I'am more than sure come the next 48 hours there will be more movement solidifying this roster.

Very possible. They may very well have done a wink, wink with Powell, and told him not to leave town. Re-add him after they move Milliner. Happens all the time
Yup. Many of these roster decision come down to who is the most likely guy to get through waivers. IF they are confident that it is unlikely that Owusu & Powell both get claimed, then one of them may be back on the roster in a few hours. It is a risk, but teams take risks like this all the time.

Only one of them was going to make roster under best scenario. Odds of both being claimed not likely. Think one will be back on roster by tonight. Also think it is possible there will movement with an OL on eve of browns game. Perhaps Qvale. Easier to get him through waivers after rosters set, and move to PS

Owusu has had multiple concussions and had one this ps. I wouldn't want to depend on a guy like that. Kerley is getting close to becoming that guy as well.

I would add Brandon Fields, punter from Miami. One of the best in the league over the past few years, but cut by Phins to go with someone younger and cheaper.
