Houston's GM should get fired just for the decision to sign this guy to a 72 million deal
Bradford deal worked out great for Philly, they paid almost none of his contract and got a first round pick. Vikings went undefeated until this week. And we have this deal to thank for the Fitz holdout and even signing him for 12 million... If not for this deal and the Philly Debacle of Bradford and Daniels. Fitz would have been signed for less than $10million and who knows maybe another offseason in the system and he wouldn't have been God awful ..

Denver also has some offensive weapons to help their young qbs, and young qbs who could handle stepping into a good team.Gotta give Elway credit, most organizations (like ours) wouldn't dare let a QB walk off double digit wins, but Elway has now done it twice, first with Tebow and then with Osweiler. He was not going to let making the playoffs fool him. He was not buying the FOOLS GOLD. He knows a crappy QB when he sees one and he was happy to let the both of them walk.
Also, its no accident that he refused to bite on Fitz as a free agent. Once again, Elway knows a crappy QB when he sees one, and he wasn't biting on some FOOLS GOLD career year.
question is.....do we want fitz back next season as a backup to petty/hack?
This is assuming another starter isn't brought in.
NO, because I think I know Bowles well enough to know he'll be tempted to start him at the first sign of trouble and not let the kids play thru their growing pains. IMO Mac has to save Bowles from himself and completely remove Fitz as an option.Question is.....do we want Fitz back next season as a backup to petty/hack?
Well let's not give him too much credit - it's not like he wasn't interested - he wanted him back, and offered him $16MM AAV with more than $30MM guaranteed.Gotta give Elway credit, most organizations (like ours) wouldn't dare let a QB walk off double digit wins, but Elway has now done it twice, first with Tebow and then with Osweiler.
