OT: Stephen Curry

That said, I used to think Larry Legend was the best pure shooter I have ever seen. This kid makes Larry Bird look like a butcher. I have never seen anything like it. He hoists up shots from anywhere and he doesn't even need to set his feet, and BAM!! I said it before but it bears repeating, he is the real life Lamar Mundane, 30 footers are like layups for this kid.

This kid takes more "bad shots" than any player in the league, any player I have ever seen, certainly more than any great players I have ever seen, but here's the thing, for him they are not bad shots, for him there is no such thing as a bad shot, he hits bad shots like most guys bury layups, and he hits nothing but net. IT. IS. UNREAL.

I think some people have a hard time understanding how dominant this kid is because he doesn't look the part, he looks more like the last kid you choose in pickup games when you need one more guy. He's not big and strong like LeBron or ridiculously athletic like Michael, or a huge PG like Magic, and he's not a dominant big man like Shaq or Hakeem, he's not even lightning fast off the dribble with moves that can break your ankles like AI or Isaiah, he's none of the things we ordinarily think of when we think of an MVP, but this kid is a baby-faced assassin who can beat you off the dribble and drill shots in your face from anywhere on the basketball court, thats why he is indefensible, he forces you to guard every piece of the court within 45 feet of the basket, and you can't do that, so you are basically at his mercy ... and he is merciless.

PS. This is the only player I have ever seen, who if he offered me a $10,000 bet on ONE SHOT from half court, at even money, I wouldn't take that bet. I would be scared to death that he would drill it.

I'm serious, I would NOT take that bet, at even money, which I can't believe I'm even saying. Any other player in the NBA offers me that bet and I'm taking it, in a heartbeat. But this kid, I'm not even thinking about it.

So I don't disagree about his shooting, he is certainly the greatest I've ever seen. But he plays on an awesome team, and is not a great defender. What is teAm's record without him this postseason? I thought MVP meant, your team would crash and burn without you.

I agree and think he's an amazing player but unfortunately he has ruined the game for many people that play it. If you go to the park you have no idea how many people just stand around at the three point line and hoist up shots mimicking Steph. Sigh
