As for Brady, I don't believe he is still playing at an MVP level a 38 without "help", and you're right, I never believed it and I've explained why, thats why this has no baring on my opinion of Brady.
Go look at the list of HOF QB's, its on the HOF website, then come back and tell me how many of them were still playing at an MVP level at 38, or even still playing at all?
i don't know offhand who was playing at an MVP level, but there are a number of HOF QBs who played into their late 30s and early 40s. warren moon, brett favre, peyton manning (won MVP at 37), joe montana, dan marino, john elway, earl morrell, sonny jurgensen, johnny unitas, etc...
