NO THANKS TRADING JETS FUTURE IN DRAFT PAYING WATSON BIG MONEY! How about learning how to draft at QB. Does Jets want to strip team like Texans did to keep Watson? Forget it! Draft a QB fill out roster like Bills did and Jags are doing while not paying crazy money for QB and getting rid of good players to be the Texans. I hope Watson goes to Miami. What a stupid idea. There is only 1 QB Ive seen in NFL you can pay crazy money that makes everyone on Offense look better and its Rogers of Packers. Watson isnt close to that. Even Patric M. Took less money after team benefited from rookie contract to fill around him. NY media can shove this BS up their backside trying to get us Jets fans to fall for this bad deal because we passed on Allen and then laughed at for winning game to get a sure and cheap rookie QB. It is embarrassing not able to draft a QB since 1965 and drafting exactly like passing in 5 QB draft on Marino and Allen to division rival and face then for next 10 plus years beating us. But hey owner and GM has to figure it out on how to Draft a QB and build around him. Starts with a good owner hiring the right GM who is the head coaches boss. Should have lost 3 more games instead of allowing Jags to sand bag rest of season. Stupid owners. Watson deal would really show how stupid Jets owners are because they cant hire a GM to be able to draft the right QB. Getting QBs like Boomer ,Farve, old overpaid cast offs. Watson is 25 with a team friendly 5 year contract. Also a top 4 QB.
We wouldnt have a first round pick this year meaning we wont be drafting a lesser QB and praying they become top 15. And we miss out on a WR, but we can easily sign any FA WR we choose. Watson would make the Jets a top choice for those WRs. We still have 7 picks plus anything Darnold brings. Second or third round, so 4 top 90 picks. Next season we give up Seattle's 1, so we still have all our picks plus the extra 3rd so 8 picks total to continue to add talent around Watson. Watson, Allen Robinson, Mims, Crowder, pick up Najee Harris or Travis Etienne with our first second round pick.
Becton and Fant at the tackle positions, McGovern at C, Clark and a FA or drafted guard and you have one of the top Offensive units in the league.
Still have a ton of Cap plus draft picks this year and next.

I've wanted this guy since the draft. I didn't think he would come here(still have my doubts) but if they can get him it's a no Brainer.You have to do it. The cred with FA's alone would be worth it

Even though the top quarterbacks are often not #1 overall, or even Rd. 1 picks, we should finally go for Watson, a proven entity.
