Hate to admit it but Fitz had a very good game. WR did what they do and what their suppose to do! If not for a few big plays, busted plays it appears this would have been a blow out. Total dominance and a nice road win. A win the Jets needed and stepped up to get. I hope some are starting to come around to the train that Bowles is a better HC then Rex Ryan is now.

I don't like focusing too much on one game, win or lose. I prefer to look at the season in chunks. That said, tonight was crucial to survive that first chunk, which is a brutal schedule.

Survive the first 6/7 games, and the schedule becomes much easier.
I hope the Chiefs get physically mauled in Houston this week. I'm not rooting for serious injuries, but I hope they get the living crap kicked out of them and are banged up as a team can be without serious injuries.

I have mixed emotions tonight because we should be 2-0. We gave that game to Cinci last week. If Fitz played last week like he did tonight, we would have blown the Bengals out of the building. But hey, it is what it is, you can't be at your best every week, we're 1-1, very much in the hunt, and now we have ten days to prepare for a tough KC team on the road.

I really believed that the team that lost this game tonight was a huge trouble, thats why I was so on edge tonight. I felt like this was a must win game if you wanted to stay in the hunt. I'm glad its Buffalo (not us) that is 0-2 with Arizona next, and staring into the abyss. This was an enormous week two game in my view.
off the top of my head, i can't remember the jets ever needing a win in week two as much as last night..

i said a few times here this week, i was concerned with the jets coming out flat..

bowles had them ready to match & exceed buffalo's early defensive intensity..

now let's go into KC & build off this!!

as good as Fitzpatrick looked tonight the defense on the other hand looked out of place... hopefully with the extra days TB & Rodgers can fix this defensive unit so they can be more productive from the d-line to the secondary...

Forte has proven his worth to expand this offensive gameplan scoring three times tonight but there is no way he can carry thirty times for the next fourteen weeks...

Enunwa has been the star on offense so far in two weeks with everyone targeting our top 2 it is nice to have a 3rd option in the passing attack that shows he can be a threat...

Now that I know the ending and that the good guys win, I'm gonna enjoy watching this game a lot more on the NFL Networks replay (3AM) than I did watching it live. That was gut wrenching.

gott a clean up the sloppy play... 2nd game in a row 3 plays we can't let happen; happen.... Revis cannot look in the backfield anymore... He needs to bump and run and run and run and never be concerned with anything going on other than making sure no one is behind him........ Rontez Miles has one job on that play.. Don't let any receiver get behind you and boom he let's Greg Salas get behind him, are you kidding me..... and of course the Jalin Marshall turnover... All 3 plays are 3 TD's this game at worst should have been 37-10.... So gut wrenching is an understatement.

So I'm watching the game again and this time I'm calm, so I can really pay attention, and I think it was a brilliant offensive game plan by Chan Gailey, and terrific execution of said game plan by Fitz and the Jets Wideouts.

Why was it a brilliant game plan?

I believe the reason Rex has been so successful against Fitz in the past, and certainly this applies to last years sweep of the Jets, is because he played mostly press coverage to take away the short to intermediate passing game and force Fitz to beat him deep. He was basically saying, I don't believe Fitz has enough arm to beat us deep, so we're taking away the underneath routes and challenging him to throw the ball down the field.

Well, Gailey learned from last year and he took that challenge. Fitz probably heaved the ball downfield more in this game than he has in any other game he has started for the Jets, and the results were terrific, the WR's were even winning most of the jump balls, thats why three WR's nearly cracked 100 and that won us the game in my view.

Holy crap, I feel like I just went to bed. Anyways, Fitz was awesome and you have to give props to the OL. A couple of back-ups doing a solid job against an aggressive Bills D.

Jalin Marshall had a huge fumble but came back with a nice reception later on, that was nice to see.

Need to clean up some penalties at crucial times and of course giving up the big plays on D.

It's also nice to see a guy wearing the #20 turn his head around when a pass is coming his way.

The unsung guys up front played a very good game. Remember we played much of game with 2 starters down, but the rest came through in a big way. Brian Winters is really coming of age, and Breno might be out of a job.

He had a couple of big catches after that disastrous fumble. One was a big catch inside the 10 to set-up one of Forte three TD rushes. The other was a huge catch on 3rd and long for about 20 Yards to sustain a late drive that resulted in more points. It was good to see him bounce back like that. A lot of rookies would curl up in the fetal position if they did something that terrible, but the kid showed some real toughness.

Agreed, heckuva show of fortitude for the kid. The vet WRs and Fitz think he has tremendous potential also.

I didn't get to see the game last night as working early today (1.30am start here) - but my pizza is ready to go in the oven and I'll be watching when I get back in! At least I get to skip the ads!

Whatever!! Fitz can never hit a guy in stride. Same ole'!!

This game has slipped out of our hands and just like that our season is slowly slipping

I hate to beat a dead horse, but this all started when they allowed Buffalo to march down the field before the half and score points. That gave Buffalo the momentum heading into the half and they came out full of life. Thats why I made such a big deal about it. THIS is exactly what I feared. Football is a game of momentum, either YOU HAVE IT or THEY HAVE IT. We had it and gave it back right before the half, and what happened next ... disaster.

Nope. I was pointing out that he sucks at throwing there guy in stride and we wasted $12M on this average Joe.

This team is gutless.

Bottom line: Every time we have played Buffalo in the Todd Bowles era, the Bills played like they wanted it more. They play like its the f**king Super Bowl, we play like its just another game. Hey Bowles, tell your team again that its just another game, while Rex has his team breathing fire.

It's official.......... at least right now, Rex Ryan is hands down a BETTER HC than Todd Bowles.
