How do you not have a safety over the top when its obvious Revis has lost a step?

Yes, REVIS IS A SHELL OF HIS FORMER SELF, but the coaching staff has to compensate for it, not ignore it.
Yep. With the push we get from our DL, shouldn't be that difficult to adjust for the fact that we are somewhat average across the DB, have to help all over the place, and should be able to do that. It's not like we have to cover guys for 10 seconds.

I love the reverse psychology

His name is Fitzpatrick not Dak Prescott

Fitz played very well yesterday, I must admit. I'd dare say he played a great game in fact, by his standards and status anyway. But here's the point. I'd rather win with a young 22-24 year old franchise QB in the making. Rather then a 12 year, six team has been QB. Worst part of it all is, Dak Prescott was drafted in the forth round. Not the first or second like Hackenburg was and he's not even close to seeing the field. While Dak is playing just as good as Fitz is now and he's just a rookie. Imagine how good he will be in year three or five or twelve. If he keeps playing and progressing the way he is. So you can have Fitz, I'll take Dak any day and anybody with a brain in their head would also.

Holy crap, I feel like I just went to bed. Anyways, Fitz was awesome and you have to give props to the OL. A couple of back-ups doing a solid job against an aggressive Bills D.

Jalin Marshall had a huge fumble but came back with a nice reception later on, that was nice to see.

Need to clean up some penalties at crucial times and of course giving up the big plays on D.

It's also nice to see a guy wearing the #20 turn his head around when a pass is coming his way.

#20 Williams is a ball hawk... he's not Kyle Wilson.. He gets his head around... His problem is gets mentally lazy and does not focus on the WR in front of him all the time... Last night he played a complete game

After 1 win?! meh

So two Rex wins last year were absolute proof, despite the records. But this year, one head-to-head win AND a better record isn't proof?

Why do I get the sense this has nothing to do with head-to-head, and that there is nothing Bowles can do to be viewed as the better HC in your eyes, for whatever reasons?

Fitz had a great game by any standard, not just by his standard. Want proof? His passer rating was 116.5. That is the standard.

Dak's in his one NFL game was 69.4.

I've had that sickness for just about 45 years , can't seem to shake it.
Do you have the cure?

No. I wish I did.

But I learned perspective when I played in college. After HS losses, it would kill me all weekend. In college, I learned to take it for a little bit, be angry, be upset, but then to move on, to go out that Saturday night (in part because it was really the only night I could go out when I played in college).

The problem is, fans take it a lot worse than players do, for a variety of reasons. It's baseball, and not football, but if I recall, the movie Fever Pitch even addresses that dynamic. Fans take stuff worse than players do.

we are a dramatic bunch! My friends said they are going to take pictures of my face throughout the game and make my reactions go viral.

Seriously. Sometimes, the guys need to get off the ledge.

Not every positive play is indicative of a Super Bowl team. Not every negative play means they are worse than the Kotite Jets.

I would say it is funny to watch, if I wasn't concerned about the mental health of half of this board during games.

Yes, after 1 win but don't believe it. Come and talk to me after the season is over when Rex gets fired and Bowles is still our HC. Probably before then.

It could get very ugly in Buffalo. With Arizona next, they easily could find themselves 0-3.

Rex's rah-rah shtick about being the best works when you are a good team. When guys stop believing his bloviating?

He may be out of a job sometime before Christmas.

Its funny how really bad defenses follow Rob Ryan around. Maybe Rex goes back to DT and sacrifices his brother.

major props to Bowles for not sitting him after that fumble

He rebounded with a few nice catches. I'll acknowledge that.

But after watching him in the preseason, and then the fumble in real game action, I'm not sure I trust that guy just yet. Fumbling is sometimes a habit with some players. Poor ball handing skills. But we'll see. Maybe he proves me wrong.

He lacks the focus but he has game breaking ability with his speed so I think the reward is worth the risk. He probably won't fumble again, if he does, then i'll sit him

He's both dynamic and young. Ball control at this level can come with experience. Explosiveness can not be coached or taught.

are you talking prescott in the pre-season or the one who lost to the giants at home and didn't have any TDs and had a 69.4 rating (fitz was 77 week 1 and 116.5 last night)?

now he may turn out good, perhaps real good. but let's not put him in canton just yet

The guillotine has fallen on the first Bill. Greg Roman has been fired as OC.

Highest paid OC in the league, canned.

Here's what I can't figure out what some or most of you Jets fans can't understand. Dak's QBr may have only been a 69 but that was his first ever NFL game as a young 22 year old rookie. Fitz was over 100 but how long has he been in the league and how many teams and he hasn't even made the playoffs yet! If Dak keeps progressing like other young QBs for ex.. R. Wilson or Luck or Cam or D. Carr (Raiders) or Winston is doing. Imagine where he will be just like those other young QBs for instance. Wilson has already been in two SBs and won one. Cam's been in one SB, Luck has been in a AFC championship game and Winston and Carr are getting better every year. That can be Dak also and we could of had him. So if this will be the case, your telling me you would rather have Fitz over Dak? Even with Fitz 100 plus rating yesterday and Dak's, 69 last week, I would rather have Dak but if you don't then so be it.

#1. No , I don't want a rookie Qb running this team .
Dak played one game and lost and your anointing him the next Dan Marino
#2 are you saying I don't know what I'm saying ? Don't have a brain?
Because if that's what your implying ...
I'll reserve my self

#3 all your posts have been negative to the "Jets Faithful "( Your words)
You want to antagonize those who believe in this team , you opened yourself up for criticism .
Your wrong on many counts be a grownup and admit it.

Dak , Rogers , Eli , etc are not Jets. When they do , if ever ,have the next franchise QB we will all be happy. Accept what you have this year and roll with it.

But don't come back at me and imply I don't know what I'm talking about .

For this year, I'd rather have Fitz than Prescott. Absolutely.

For the future, I'm pretty confident with Petty and Hack, and that one of them can develop into at least the QB Prescott will become.

Bowles admitted in his conference call today that he should have gone for 2 up 12.

The decision was wrong, and he should be held accountable. It is good, though, to hear him hold himself accountable and admit his mistake.

There are no certainties. He can progress like Ryan Leaf as well. You or no one knows which will happen. But you insulting others for not agreeing with your OPINION, is where you are falling short.
