What do we have in Enumwa?

Jace Amaro right now has a value of a 3rd round pick trade value, just because he is a pass catching tight end (SE) which a lot of teams are looking for...

Teams like Dallas, Houston are two home town teams that I wouldn't put it passed for them to make this deal... Witten isn't getting any younger and the Texans really don't have a number one on their depth chart...

There are plenty other teams that could be interested like San Diego, New Orleans and/or Green Bay could all be options not to mention Miami or Buffalo also could be in play just saying...

Since Amaro's injury is NOT lower body injury the Jets could get two picks: Based on the team in question perusing Amaro bottom half teams 3rd or teams in the top end of value could be a 4th this year and conditional pick in 2017 on playing time/performance based...

Amaro's value is no better than any TE prospect coming out in this draft - and they all at least have the advantage of an unknown upside yet. He doesn't.
(And a real stinker of a TE draft class it is, too.)

He is slow as phuque, (4.74s) & only has middling vertical (33") & middling hands. (29th ranked in 2014 [38/53 targets] & even GeNOT couldn't miss a target that big at close range.)
He's big enough (6'-5" | 265#) he COULD become a decent Health Miller-type primarily blocking TE who catches some short hot redes, if he chooses to work on it, but as of now he stinks at that too.

The fact that he has not even been at the facility or on the sideline is very concerning.
I'm sure MacDaddy and Bowles are none too pleased with his attitude and effort.

Fan speculation means nothing. Amaro is a talented, former high second round draft pick who hasn't had nearly enough time to be seriously evaluated as a potential NFL player. Fans read between the lines way too much. Nobody knows what Bowles thinks of Amaro, but speculation runs wild when fans think they know.

I'm not saying Amaro is a sure thing. He may be a disappointment in time. But that time is a long ways off, IMO.

It may be fan speculation, but the opinion is supported by a lot of empirical evidence. Doesn't mean that it is 100% a fact, but the observations certainly indicate that Amaro isn't the most secure roster spot in the building.

With out having been here it is very likely he won't be any more advanced in his new position, H-back then he was when he showed up last year

Enunwa in my opinion watching him can become a lethal player that can quite change the game as we know it. Especially eliminating the tight end position. Let's be honest, the last play he ran to the outside in O.T and took it up field had been run by Cumberland, he would have been dropped after a gain of 12 or 15 as he had no speed to out run the defenders as Quincey did.

The kid has room to grow obviously. This truly being his rookie season at the position in the league will only propel him to be better in the years to come.

Started seven of 13 games in 2010, totaling 21 catches for 293 yards (14.0-yard average) and two TDs. Started all 27 games from 2012-13: Produced 42 catches for 470 yards (11.2) and a TD in 2012 (14 games) and 51 catches for 753 yards (14.8) and 12 TDs in 2013 (13 games). Team captain.

ANALYSIS:
STRENGTHS Looks the part with terrific size, long arms and an NFL musculature. Can elevate and snatch throws above his head. Strong after the catch. Sheer size and brawn to block out corners outside. Has hustle traits. Knows where the sticks are and is very football smart. Excellent intangibles -- team captain with a professional approach and leadership traits. Was a 21-year-old senior.

WEAKNESSES Lacks elite top-end speed to separate vertically. Shows some hip tightness. Is not fluid or sudden out of breaks (wastes steps). Not a natural catcher -- lets throws into his body, double catches some and drops catchable throws.

DRAFT PROJECTION Rounds 6-7

BOTTOM LINE Big, tough, athletic, West Coast receiver who broke out as a senior. Has a mixture of "Z" and "X" traits and could even be viewed as a developmental H-back prospect.

The NFL is drifting more and more toward this kind of player having at least 2 or 3 roster spots on every team & displacing the traditional blocking TE or RB/FB.

I find it interesting that the rumors in camp were that we made the h back position because Amaro was so bad, but then we stuck with it all year after he was injured.

I'll tell you what we have in Enunwa. We have a guy that showed a glimpse of some good things late in the season only to absolutely f*ck us in the Buffalo game. He had so many crucial drops in that game. This chump is one of the main contributors as to why the season is over with. The guy needs to work on his hands. They suck and I'd prefer to not see him on the field again until he can rectify that problem. He's better at beating the p*ss out of his wife/girlfriend than he is at catching the ball.

he is a dominate blocker, with potential to be an explosive all around H Back...

time will tell, a full off season participating at this new position improving on his craft he can evolve his overall game... expect he will take the next step...
