What does your dream draft look like

I think we should use all 7 picks on the best OTs we can get that can play either side and guard so hopefully injuries don't decimate the "O" line for the 3rd year in a row. Get anther receiver, QB, Safety and TE in free agency. Get rid of the deadwood, Brown, Lawson, Cobb, Tomlinson, Z. Wilson, McGovern, Uzomah, Siemian, etc so we can afford to keep Huff.

I have to be the only Jet fan that wants to trade HUFF . Seriously how much better can he get . He’s a speed demon o n the outside that probably won’t get much stronger unless he cheats and will cost a ton to keep . I’m saving my money for Sauce, Hall, Johnson and GWill and hope we have enough left to absorb the hit when Rodgers leaves .

I hear what you're saying and to be honest I have mixed feelings about keeping him. Having him in the line-up during passing plays is a huge boost to the defense, but, I have noticed, or at least think I have noticed, that he is not very good against the run. I'm not sure about this. I don't know the stats but I think that's what I saw. Considering that we have other good pass rushers in that room I probably wouldn't object terribly if they did a tag and trade with him, IF, we could get a really great return for him.

I don' underestimate Huff. He is a good player. We are not getting anything for Huff unless we tag and trade him. I too agree with you Gramoah, let Huff go and worry about our own. We have good Edge rushers as is.

If the Jets can find a way to keep Huff, acquire a 2nd round pick and not have Huff count 23+ mil against the 2024 cap then I’m all for it. I just don’t see how. I guess that’s why some people have those jobs and I get to speculate and talk crap .

I'm on board with trading Huff for a 2nd rounder. We already drafted his replacement.

Do the Cowboys have good players, a solid defense, ect . Everyone wants to blame McCarthy or Prescott, but if I remember correctly, the Cowboys gave their defensive coordinator a huge contract to keep him away from head coaching opportunities and it was that defense that Jordan Love and the young Packers ripped to pieces. McCarthy and Prescott were not on the field for any of that and the Cowboys still scored enough to force the Packers to put their starting offense back on the field.

Maybe a mindset change is needed. If you expect to lose and you lose, then why get upset.

i can sleep after a Jet game now. When i expected them to win and they lost, i stay awake half the night pissed off about it

I guess if I played a game that I expected to lose, I probably wouldn’t play that game anymore unless it was something that was new to me and I thought that once I learned how to play I would win

Jalen Sundell entered the program as an offensive tackle. But he transitioned to center in 2020.

"I never thought I'd be playing center," he told KMA Land's Trevor Maeder. "Going through that (transition) was a good challenge. There's a lot more to think about when you're playing center. It's a different position. I got enough reps into where it became second nature. It was challenging."

Not only can he play center and we do need a backup long term but he is an interior lineman that has experience like Cade Mays for the Panthers capable of playing all inside or out. Expect Xavier Newman to compete for one Guard spot. We have Tippman starting Center and Wes is either going to start at Guard or be the backup Center for next year. Opens the door if AVT is healthy where does he play. Everyone has different ideas of where he fits. Then we come back to both Carter Warren and Max Mitchell where do they fit the best. Expect the Jets to sign a veteran right tackle in free agency. I would not be shocked if we also signed another veteran interior lineman on a short term deal.

So no, they will likely sign a couple free agent rookies to develop on the practice squad but need to draft one I just do not see Joe Douglas the former lineman spending too much thought here.

look at Jermaine Eluemunor from LV 3 year deal
look at Jonah Williams from Cin 2 year deal (technically only a one year with gtd)
look at Andrus Peat from NO 2 year deal

they will make a run at these two for left tackle: Donovan Smith, KC & Cornelius Lucas Washington.

But ultimately there is that one move that Aaron Rodgers would be up for: David Bakhtiari who enters his final year of his 4 year deal even though he is coming off an injury the Jets should be interested. Jets can give the Packers a cap savings of $20 M by making this move and taking the entire contract, then JD can reduce the cap hit by re-signing him to a three year deal (2 year extension) it should only cost a 4th round pick along with a future conditional pick since DB is on IR.
