Will Cornerback be an issue this year?

I know we have Revis but there is no denying that he has taken a step back. Hopefully this year Bowles actually helps him out when he goes against these big name wideouts.

Anyways, with Revis slipping and our #2 cb unproven, should we be worried? Skrine has had a great camp but I think he's better suited to play the nickel.

Revis is still better than 90-95% of the league and probably 31 other teams would love to have him.

I agree completely but he is no longer the "Revis Island" he was once in the past. People will attack him so he will need safety help at times which by default weakens whatever we do in the second cb.

with the tweets flgreen has been supplying us, it would seem we're in pretty good shape both quality & depth wise..

granted, we are going to be dependent on a lot of youth/rookies back there.....

should be a very interesting preseason to watch & discuss with a three unints..

I really think you're worrying about nothing. Maybe I am being overly optimistic, but I think Revis will be top notch this season. Go figure, right?? Any way, I do wish they had signed Cro for one more season, but I think we'll be fine. Besides, I figure the offense is the big worry this season.

You wished we signed a guy that can't get a sniff from 31 other teams?

The Cro loss makes this secondary better. He was toast last year

He's probably better than all but 3cbs. Skrine has played the 2 position before, even though he's better suited to the nickel. Either he will do fine, or someone is better than him, which is great.
Bowles can plan for Revis no problem, as long as he's grown out of whatever it was that insisted on keeping Revis in a system that clearly wasn't working. You stock wroth Revis for a couple games, but at some point around game 3 or 4 you change your approach. Bowles was so stubborn with Revis last year.

Dominate line play and improved lbers will camouflage cb weaknesses. I think cb will be improved leaving our true weakness to be exposed, covering tes or in ne, two tes.

If Juston Burris keeps getting an INT in every practice and covering the way he's reportedly covering, and he repeats that in the preseason games, don't be surprised if he's starting opposite Revis on opening day.

Take a look at his latest INT on Tuesday and the air tight coverage he had on Brandon Marshall deep:

#38 Juston Burris INT

The way Bowles seems to trust Vets, I just want the kid to secure his roster spot . I'm more concerned with OLB than the secondary

I went to the first game Revis ever played in. He was promptly burnt by Randy Moss. No shame in that. Starting a rookie CB is bold move

Secondary should hold up fine. Revis will never be "Revis Island" again but he'll still be a very good CB. Every one is forgetting about Milliner. (It's easy) but he is having an excellent camp. If he stays healthy good chance he's #2. Burris is having a good camp, and Skrine has proved he's very good in the slot.

IMO All will be well at CB

I'd imagine Milner and Williams will battle for 2, they other will be the nickel back, skrine stays in slot, with the kids earning his playing time.

Personally, I'd prefer keeping Skrine in the slot, where he has excelled, and looking at a Marcus Williams as the #2, perhaps in competition with Milliner to see if Dee has anything worth keeping.

Post of the year award.

We are probably creating a problem area on defense by taking him out of the slot role. Dee or Marcus can handle outside, I'm confident

Agree, and add Burris to the mix on the outside and we have a decent situation there. If Dex makes team, he is strictly a slot guy.
