Is it possible we could draft all of them, lol!!! Seriously I truly like Fournette. Imagine him and Hack as a potent 1-2 punch next year. Maybe they draft a WR in the later rounds that makes a big 3. Gotta get the oline straight also. Lots of needs for this damn team. What am I saying, knowing our luck, they'll draft a punter with the 1st draft pick.

Lets do for Hackenberg what we didn'tdo for Sanchez, give him the best chance to succeed. This is a QB league, lets draft either an O-lineman or a playmaker. In all likelihood we will have the 6th pick, obviously you take the best player on the board, I'm hoping it's one of the positions I just sited.

Exactly, build up that line! The cowboy way!

Oh man. If Garrett falls to us that would be phenomenal. We always needed a pass rusher and he brings that to us. He will instantly improve our secondary because teams won't have all day to throw. I doubt he falls to us though.

in that case I prefer we go with Fournette in the first round and the pick defense until the end of the draft. Our free agent money should be spent on oline.

DARRON LEE AGAIN!!!!!

Honestly, does anyone even have a clue what those fucking boobs Mac and Toilet are doing? The job the two of them have done resembles Harry and Lloyd in Dumb and Dumber. The two of them have to be dumber than dirt.

I like peppers, but with an undersized Lee, I would stay away from 2 undersized guys. I know he projects as a safety, but key word "project" I don't want to hope he's good at nfl safety with the first pick. Playmaker at rb or edge rusher would be my choice.

It's cool that peppers played at paramus catholic and that Michigan hired his coach as their linebackers coach. Wouldn't mind signing both along with Harbaugh. Make it the Michigan trifecta

Offensive line in this draft will be rich in rounds 2 through 4...

So with the first pick, do we take BPA? or Trade Down?

There is NO Top 5 OL, nor is there a Top 10 to consider... There is a Top 25 Guard in Indiana's Dan Feeney... Is the best interior lineman in this draft but only way for us to get him is to trade back into the first round with our 2nd rounder or trade down one/two times...

It all depends on "IF" we retain Brian Winters, and where they feel James Carpenter is still worthy to be a Jet or is he trade-able...

Yes we could use that ER but Garrett isn't the only one in this draft...
Yes we could use a playmaker type running back in Fournette or Cook but there are others that fit better with our offense like McCaffrey...
Yes we could use a playmaker type receiver like Corey Davis or Mike Williams but look at what we found last year in the seventh round and draft free agency...
Yes we NEED defensive backs but like the other positions they can be gotten later...

What I am saying there is a fall off of talent after the Top 5 and if we don't get one of them trading down would be the smartest move this regime could do...

The only way they draft Peppers is if we convert into a 4-3 defense...

Both Jordan Jenkins and Lorenzo Mauldin would convert to defensive ends...
Wilkerson and Leo would be the interior linemen...
Peppers and Lee would be outside linebackers...

The only issue we would have is no Middle Linebacker, yes David Harris could be a short term solution but he is slowing down and would be the liability... Ronald Martin could be an option converting since he was comparison to Cam Chancellor (cough cough)...

Then there is always Reuben Foster a younger faster version of David Harris but he is a Top 15 pick Not Top 10 nor 5...

  1. Trade down
  2. Pick the best OL available
  3. Hire a computer dweeb to hack into the Patriots front office
  4. Pick who the Patriots wanted one round ahead of them for the rest of the draft

Agree, but trading down requires someone wanting to trade up,and willing to pay for it,and a player worth that investment. I don't know who would trade up.

The Jets need help in a lot of places. There's really only two options in my book: take the best player on the board or trade down for picks. If we can accumulate a lot of high to mid round picks, that'd be perfect.

Just don't screw it up like Idzik did.

Browns have the Eagles pick likely to be 11th overall...

Browns also steeped with picks in rounds 2 & 3...

By chance they want to trade up to grab a certain prospect still on the board offering the Eagles pick plus a 2nd could be in the cards...

With that Eagles pick will be in the prime position for a team with in the Top 18 that wants to leap frog a division team or whatever to grab a certain prospect offering that pick plus a third...

We can then take a prospect like Dan Feeney - Guard, Derek Barnett - ER, or Corey Davis - WR even Christian McCaffrey could be an option...

With 2 seconds and 2 thirds literally could revamp our offensive line with Brandon Shell looking like a lock at right tackle... Brent Qvale also looks better at guard then tackle, and we have Wesley Johnson is a RFA going to get a 1 year tender... Depending on if they keep Mangold and/or Carpenter they will only need to find a left tackle they like maybe Dion Dawkins from Temple, Avery Gennesy from TAMU could be options...

They can also target a center in round 3 to sit a year to acclimate to this level, someone like Kyle Fuller from Baylor (former teammate of now Jet Bryce Petty)...

The options are there, and while we have needs throughout the roster we would be more flexible to add prospects by trading down...

How about LT, possible G and maybe a RT before we worry about other areas of need. This IMHO is the key to getting this team turned around other then a NEW CS that is....

I'm all for going OL. Problem is, I'm not sure there is a guy in that 5-6 range who merits it. The only one I could see is Cam Robinson, who I loved when he first went to Alabama. If he declares, I could see it being worth it, as long as both his shoulder and his character issues check out OK.

Now, Myles Garrett had a solid game against Robinson earlier this year (no sacks, but solid tackle stats, and he looked good), but Robinson has started since he was a freshman, and has given up, I think, no more than 2 or 3 sacks in his entire career.

RT looks like Shell could be the answer. I have no issues with guard, between Winters and Carpenter. LT, definitely.

Cam Robinson at this level will be better suited as a Guard, sorry he just doesn't have that natural pass protection ability that is needed on the blind side, however he is a nasty run blocking lineman and at the NFL level that means interior lineman...

Would be a waste of a pick in the Top 10 unless one has someone already in place for short term/bridge to allow him to develop...

There is no D'brickashaw sitting there for us with the 6th pick. I'm certain the Jets will address the left tackle position this offseason, but it'll probably be more like a 2nd-4th round project or a FA.

Agree on the others. Winters made progress this year to justify a starting position. Carpenter is solid, as well. Not sure about Shell yet, but I like the bloodlines and he was drafted as a project anyway. Qvale should stay on as insurance, and Ijalana is probably a goner. At least, from what I saw.
