after what was looked at as a yard sale worth of trades before the deadline, the yankees (going into tonight 9/9) are 2 out the wildcard & 4 out of first in the ALE.. not bad..

Gary Sanchez almost went yard today on a pitchout!!
Didn't quite make it, but it was an EPIC SAC FLY to the Centerfield warning track.
Oh yeah, and he had another HR in the game too.
This kid has broken into the big leagues like Roy Hobbs.
