If you haven't ducked or avoided anything then you would of responded when we sent those PM(s)... Top right notifications by your user profile is then lit up with a number of those many PM(s) you have not read... You do come here with the idea to post at people not to discuss... When people don't see it your way you get aggravated and post down to them... I don't care about statistics of who Woody Johnson hired or didn't hire... As for reasons why Todd Bowles has not been fired is because this team or the core group has shown fight in a REBUILD, which isn't a one and done... When Todd Bowles came here he inherited a Rex Ryan team and they played great the first year... A successful failure, and if they stripped the team after that successful failure the fans would of been irate... So they reloaded and tried to have another successful season with a chance at the playoffs but it backfired from the selfish players Ryan Fitzpatrick leading the group... So instead of trying to re up the roster again, they tore it all down... This is the reason, after all the so called experts said we wouldn't win SHIT, we went 5-11 but were in more games down the line from the fight of the players for their coach he got extended to see the rebuild further...

So for the consistent bullshit statements you are claiming are spot on, is spot off actually... Todd Bowles not Toilet, earned his extension... He has two years of the three he is contracted for to retool this roster from the ground up and become successful not because he is BLACK...

As for reasons why Rex Ryan was retained was he had the pulse of the fans as much as the players and he himself sold tickets... Woody Johnson has admitted he is a fan, first... A trust fund man with aspiration in politics finally figured shit out and allowed a trusted NFL entity to help him hiring the right people...

On your comments, on excommunicating don't read between the lines, I said this is your last chance... But here is a key, if you like posting here going to other boards and posting your frustration about our board doesn't help you cause...

What you may think about the NFL policies and how you post your comments toe the line where other members may consider your comments borderline racial, just an fyi...

You've what you THINK, I've got the truth. And like I said the offer still stands. You're claiming Ryan Fitzpatrick was a selfish player? I can't even possibly express how far off base that is. Ryan Fitzpatrick was a team player. I assume you're talking about the money he lobbied for? That's called the American way. He had every right to try and get the best possible deal he could. He has a limited number of years to collect as much money as he can. He was trying to make his wife and his kids and his kids kids wealthy. You'd do the same damn thing if you could. Get over it, it's ancient history...

your truth is imaginary... what you said is your opinion not the fact...

getting back on to subject -- stop deflecting using what happened with Ryan Fitzpatrick, Eric Decker, Brandon Marshall, Nick Mangold in that off season which led up to the display of horse shit play on the field as the deterrent of why I am calling you out...

your arrogance and display is in question here, just like GGN your post about how people need not post certain objectives about coaches in the NFL getting more leeway because they are BLACK... since you feel we are just a biased forum and we are not open for good discussions, then since you feel that way, just go...

and fyi it was me going to bat for you against everyone for some time, but enough is enough and if you feel we aren't up to snub for you and your thoughts then go discuss somewhere else...

if you don't believe me just ask some of the members on this board the ones of late you have been getting mixed up with...

Todd Haley would be a great fit. Grooming a young QB. Proven OC. THough i honestly feel its DeFillipo

I would love for it to be DeFillipo but I think is in the running to be a HC and quite honestly I feel like a guy like him would wait year if he doesnt get the HC pos this year and grab one next year. Which quite possibly could be with the Jets

___(Insert name of the best possible "yes man" here already on the staff or with ties to the organization)___ will be the next OC of the jets. We'd never want a fiery, proven offensive mind like Todd Haley who would try to make us better and not just nod when bowles tells him to run the ball 70 times per game

Some numbers dont lie....

Bowles is a former safety and supposedly a secondary expert, guess what team led the league in touchdowns given up through the air? Well, that would be the Giants, but the Jets are tied for 2nd with the Packers and Houston, but those teams all have (had) offensive head coaches. The Jets are also 3rd in total touchdowns given up behind only Houston and the Browns. Under Bowles (for 3 years total) the Jets have scored exactly 0 points on defense, easily the worst in the NFL. No INT's for for a touchdown, no fumble recoveries for a touchdown and no safeties. None. To compare, the defensive juggernaut, the Browns have 4 INT for a TD over that same span.

As for the offense.....

Then Bowles fires Morton, because he didn't run enough? Well the Jets tied for 1st in the league in rushing touchdowns over 40 yards, 6th in touchdowns over 20 yards, tied for 11th in total rushing touchdown and 19th in total rushing yards. The Jets were also 10th in the NFL in rush attempts. Compare that to the passing side, tied for 17th in receiving touchdowns over 40 yards, tied for 19th in touchdowns over 20 yards, 25th in total receiving touchdowns (ouch), and 24th in total receiving yards. The Jets were 15th in passing attempts. So the perception just isn't true.

The numbers do not lie, they are what they are. Onto year 4...watch as we implode.

Darnold is not worth the picks you suggest giving up for him. He is a project and is way over rated. 4 premium picks for a project with a roster full of holes makes no sense at all.

DeFillipo would be a great hire but has already interviewed for HC positions. He's not coming to the Jets on a demotion.

Mac can't solidify the o line very much in Free Agency as there are not many FA prospects available.

For DeFillipo, it would be a promotion. He hasn't landed a HC job yet. As of now, he's a position coach, so becoming an OC would be a promotion.

...so does this mean #continuity is over??

I guess so, at least in part.

I'm not crazy about change for change's sake. I don't know all that happened behind the scenes, but I was not displeased with Morton. He did rub some the wrong way with his comments after the Denver game, and some players and fellow coaches were not crazy about his play calling. But I also don't care for changing a whole system on that - unless there is a wholesale change to who will be running that system, the QB.

If he doesn't get hired as a HC , it would be a promotion. Munchak turned down a second interview with the Cardinals and the only candidate they have scheduled for a second interview is DeFiliippo. He appears to be the front runner.
Even if he doesn't get the HC job in Arizona , I'd pass on him as OC simply because he will be the hot candidate for next year's HC openings and the last thing a rookie QB needs, especially Darnold, would be to have to learn a second system in his second year. He hasn't even learned the basics of the position, pre snap reads, progressions.......

That depends on who the next OC is. If Bates is promoted to OC , then no. Reports are that he and McCown had a lot of input as far as the playbook goes and obviously the players and coaches are very familiar with him.
If it's an outside hire, pretty much yes. If the new hire runs a WCO, the terminology will be similar though.

It's a valid point that he could be just short-term, if he landed the OC job here and was a hot HC candidate. That's a fair argument.

Apparently there is a report that Bates isn't interested in the promotion to OC...

I think Bowles either makes the playoffs next year or he's gone. That's just my opinion but we will see. The team would have to play really well under him in order to stay. I dont care really as long as we get our franchise QB!

that franchise Qb may give TB another year imo

I like Todd Haley but he has had a tough time getting along on teams. The last game for the Steelers he made some bad calls. Also in the SB he said he should have let Warner be warner sooner

i think you & others were projecting #continuity on our jets.. i didn't/still don't bowles & maccagnan are on the same page anymore than ryan & idzik were.. so for me, the continuity thing from that standpoint, was/is a foundation built on sand..

this franchise historically does things to the beat of a different drummer.. almost as if, they have enjoyed enough success, (like winning franchises) they feel empowered to continue to act like the smartest guys in room even with no long game ever in place.. ever..

this regime is going into its 4th year after inheriting a roster without a long term answer at QB..

after drafting QBs in the 4th & the 2nd, apparently they are no closer today.. so this points to at least two things.. either maccagnan & his scouts can't evaluate QB talent.. or bowles & his offensive coaches can't get young competent NFL QBs ready to play.. i'd guess a bit of both..

#incompetency..

But that report was from Mheta who is now saying that the Jets want to promote Bates.

dude I am not paying to who said what but believe I read it from Connor Hughes or something like that... But if it came from Mehta then it was those little birdies that are his sources told him that lie.... :global (21):

Mheta originally reported it came from his sources when he reported that Morton was going to the Raiders, Cimini and Hughes reported it as per Manish.
I keep telling Manish that the voices inside his head are not sources...:global (42):
