No.
I don't like Mike White. At all.
Drafted 2018.
4th year.
August 31 of 2019, White was waived by Dallas only 1 year after being drafted.
On September 5, 2020, White was waived by the Jets and signed to the practice squad the next day.
He was promoted to the active roster on September 12, 2020 and then he was waived on October 1, 2020,and re-signed to the practice squad four days later.
He was elevated to the active roster on October 10 and October 17 for the team's weeks 5 and 6 games against the
Arizona Cardinals and
Miami Dolphins, and reverted to the practice squad after each game.
He was promoted to the active roster on November 9. He was waived again on November 10 and re-signed to the practice squad again the next day.
He was promoted to the active roster again on November 21.He was waived again on November 23 and re-signed to the practice squad again the next day.
He signed a reserve/future contract with the Jets on January 4, 2021.
No. I'm not a believer on soon to be 5th year Mike White.
He had one good game against Cincy when he threw for 400 yards 2 TDs and 1 INT.
Tossed 2 INTs vs. N.E with 1 TD.
and looked like complete dog crap vs Buffalo with 0 TDs and 4 INTs and for a 4th year player drafted 2018? That atrocious performance was enough for me to quit on the fake Mike White hype.
To answer your question man. No. I don't want a career practice squad QB in the ear of Zach Wilson. I'd much rather have a veteran backup who's seen it all.
One good game vs. Cincy (when they weren't prepared for him due to no footage of him) during his 1st start doesn't change the fact he's in his 4th year with a career 5 TDs/8 INTs and a 1-4 record at now 26 years old and turning 27 years old in a couple of days.
No man. I'm not a fan of Mike White and I don't believe in him (long term).
