NOYeah, talented. If he didn't have it, he wouldn't have made it to the NFL. Question is does he have enough to stay on the Jets and in the NFL.

If Geno was cut tomorrow he would have a job in 30 minutes somewhere else
So what you're saying is that simms is the clear favorite.I'm not arguing Fitz being here and happy he is here. He will push Geno or any QB for the job and that's great. Problem here is ALOT of people are ready to throw in the towel on Geno and seem to think Fitz is the answer, even if its short term and I don't agree. Geno may not be the answer but Fitz ain't either. He wasn't for ten years on multiple teams. If he wasn't there why would he be here? Fitz has already shown us who he is.
Once again, he's done it for ten years in multiple teams. Where as Geno hasn't yet. He's played on one team for two years with horrid teams and garbage coaching and management people. Why is this so hard to figure out, its simple common sence people. Geno has upside, he has to. He is only 24 yrs old and still learning. What more are we going to see out if Fitz we don't already know. If Geno doesn't have any upside then Fitz definitely doesn't.

Maybe your right and we'll see but I doubt it. I can't argue anything your saying because Geno hasn't given me a reason to do so. I will say this, Geno is 24 with a lot of talent and played for two years with garbage teams and horrible coaching and management. That has got to caught for something. He has a chance now to show he can do something with a team with weapons that is ready to win Plus coaches and management that know what the hell they are doing. If he does what I hope and think he can do, then that only works for us that we have a QB now. If it doesn't, then we move on to Fitz or whomever because I believe he will win the starting job, unless we some how can draft Winston or trade for Breez or Rivers.Sorry but being talented in college is a completely different thing than being talented in the NFL. Most college players fail when entering the NFL, QB's especially. How many guys with great arms and incredible physical tools simply can't play at the NFL level, a ton. Fitz isn't a great QB, but it's the games he won't lose for you that makes the difference between him and Geno.

I can't blame you for having blind faith, but it is blind faith. There is simply nothing to base it on because Geno, with all this "talent" you believe he has, has never done a single thing to show it, and no one pass or one single play doesn't prove he can play. The fact is regardless of how bad the team or coaching have been, Geno has proved he doesn't belong in the NFL.
i'm not exactly a huge geno fan, but this is false. now i'm noting only very brief snippets, but in 2013, he had the 2nd highest passer rating (behind only peyton manning) for the month of december and last season he had a perfect QB rating in the miami game.
he may not ever be a great, or even good, starting QB. but you don't put up those types of numbers, even over a brief period, if you can't "play in the nfl"
Well I guess it would depend on the "collective" definition of being able to play in the NFL? So it's true that that is somewhat subjective, and anyone can cherry pick a game or stat to support their argument. For me however it's pretty simple, my eye tells me that Geno doesn't belong on an NFL field. The fact that he's carried the lowest to near lowest QBR for two years tells me all I need to know.
well it wasn't just one game. it was a 4 game span to end the 2013 season where he had a better QB rating than every QB in the entire nfl not named peyton manning.
as to whether he can play in the nfl, i have severe questions as to whether he can be a quality starting QB. but if he were cut today, i'd be willing to bet he would be picked up by another team within a day or 2. now there's no way to prove this of course. but there's a difference between saying he doesn't belong in the league and questioning whether he can be a good starting QB.
