Not sure what you could have been looking at last year that would give you this kind of confidence in a kid that could barley hold on to the ball last year. He should be serviceable TE if he can learn to catch the ball but expecting him to become a "premier TE" this year? I'd say you have a better chance of him becoming a "premier QB" like you originally stated.
Please ban this useless troll.

One thing is probably pretty certain, he won't be a serial murderer or a half retarded drunken buffoon like the two greater Cheating Scumbag tight ends in history

You have some real anger issues I see, you do understand that people and in your case it would seem, a lot of people, will disagree with you from time to time. Your attacks and name calling indicate a very immature individual, good luck in life my friend.

Exactly what I was thinking, all this does is make him look like a self entitled tool. Got to wonder what the veterans think of a guy that's proved so little spouting off like this.

The veterans SHOULD have been the ones spouting off..no problem with what the guy said

there was nothing wrong with the response grogan gave for him to be called a troll he served his break and that was actually a nice response about a rival teams TE.

what did amaro's "spouting" accomplish aside from bulletin board material??

you think bowles is impressed with a kid throwing his former coach under the bus??

i hope gailey drives the point home that amaro better have his head on a swivel against the bills under rex's watch..

kind of weird to see so many posters bashing amaro for saying the exact same types of things about rex that many of the same posters would say here on this board. i guess it's ok for fans to be critical, but young players need to STFU???

I think if he was a veteran player it would be somewhat different but for a rookie that didn't exactly live up to his billing in year one, he really needs to shut his mouth. Now that I think about it, it really isn't that great for a Vet to say this kind of thing either, they all had a hand in the good and bad, it's kind of classless to spout off after the fact, and doesn't send a very good message regarding loyalty.

Sending out loyalty to a HC that destroyed a team I can't see it. Rex made his bed and now he has to lay in it. If you demand respect from yourself and your players and carry yourself in that manner, that's what you will get win or lose. Appears pretty clear to me Rex didn't do that so he doesn't deserve respect and loyalty.

I bet you anything this won't happen to Bowles and Mac because they carry themselves differently. Not only do they know what their doing and they go about doing their business totally different but they hold their players accountable. So the players will carry themselves accordingly and you won't hear anyone saying this about Mac and Bowles because it won't happen.

Maybe at the time..he felt it but since he was a rookie..held back..second year guy all bets off..absolutely no problem with what he said, especially if , and it seems like he does, practice what he preaches....if the coach is a spineless wimp like rex was at times..someone should pull the rest of team up..I would never get mad at a guy trying to keep other guys accountable..especially if he does it for himself....I can handle a dropped pass..I cant handle being late for a meeting and being lackodaisical...that was evident from the Jets habit of killing themselves with mindless penalties...

I Hate Belichick personally and think hes a scumbag..which he is, but he sat a guy for a whole game after being late for a meeting after the previous game he rushed for 200 yards in his first start w 4 TD's....

True, but there is difference between thinking it and saying it. In my mind he didn't have the balls to say it while Rex was there, but now all of a sudden he's grown a pair and wants to call out a coaching staff that's no longer there? It just looks gutless and unnecessary to me. It also doesn't show the new coaching staff much in terms what kind of guy he is, if he's going to publicly embarrass the coaching staff that drafted him and tried to develop him, what kind of trust is the new coaching staff going give him? I just don't think it was a smart move on his part no matter how you spin it.

How do you know he didn't say it to the front office while Rex was there? Just because he didn't say it to the press doesn't mean he didn't say it.

To me, Rex and Belichick are on opposite extremes of the issue. Rex has zero accountability, and has players who want to play for him because he'll always have their back.

Belichick, on the other hand, never gives anyone the least benefit of a doubt. He holds everyone accountable, but also seems tone-deaf to the modern NFL player. Guys want to play for him because they win, in large part because of a sixth round pick that really, really panned out.
