Paul Richardson - WR - Seahawks
Coach Pete Carroll said WR Paul Richardson (knee) could return early in training camp.
There isn't a coach in the NFL with more rose-colored glasses than Pete Carroll when it comes to injury timetables. Richardson is recovering from January ACL surgery. He remains unlikely to be ready for the start of camp. Richardson is a candidate to open the season on the reserve/PUP list.
Austin Seferian-Jenkins - TE - Buccaneers
Pewter Report says TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins was "virtually uncoverable" during OTAs and minicamps.
Seferian-Jenkins' rookie year was stunted by a college foot injury, and subsequent issues with his conditioning, back and ankle. Now the 6'5/262 mountain of a man is fully healthy and playing in a Dirk Koetter scheme that has previously squeezed a career year out of Marcedes Lewis and heavily utilized Tony Gonzalez. ASJ also gets a quarterback upgrade in the form of Jameis Winston, who targeted TE Nick O'Leary a nation-high 73 times at Florida State last year. Mount Seferian has a reasonable amount of sleeper appeal as a flier available in the 11th- to 14th-round range.
Jarvis Landry - WR - Dolphins
Jarvis Landry is working out at Pete Bommarito Performance Systems in Davie (FL) in an effort to improve his straight-line speed.
Landry ran a brutal 4.77 forty at the 2014 Scouting Combine, and 4.61 at the LSU Pro Day. He wants to show the coaching staff he can be more than a rugged slot receiver. "Absolutely," Landry replied when asked if his speed has improved. "I can't wait to show it." Landry remains ticketed for the slot on the Dolphins, with Kenny Stills, DeVante Parker, and Greg Jennings on the outside.
Josh Huff - WR - Eagles
NJ.com says Josh Huff was "very impressive" through OTAs and minicamp.
This is the most positive take we've heard on Huff's offseason, as some Eagles beat writers were disappointed in his performance. In the end, Huff will have to step up with the pads on in August if he is going to beat out blocker Riley Cooper for the No. 3 wideout job behind Jordan Matthews and Nelson Agholor. In a worst-case scenario, Huff will end up as a sub-package receiver and return man.
Teddy Bridgewater - QB - Vikings
Vikings OC Norv Turner said Teddy Bridgewater was "much more decisive" during the final six games of last season.
Buoyed by the Charles Johnson-for-Cordarrelle Patterson switch, Bridgewater settled in down the stretch. He posted a 10:6 TD-to-INT ratio, 68.9 completion rate, and 98.1 QB rating across the last six games with yardage that would extrapolate to 3,840 in 16 games. Now Bridgewater has a year of the Norv offense under his belt, a healthy Kyle Rudolph and a true lid-lifter in Mike Wallace.
