LOL me either, thats still inexplicable too me, and stuff like that especially never happens for the Jets. Its hard not to be excited about Williams, he looks like a very special player.
I still can't believe he was there for at 6!

We discussed the possibility of it happening prior to the draft, discussed it in this forum, somebody started a thread about it, basically asking what the Jets should do if THE BIG CAT falls to 6, and I said if he falls to 6 we have to take him, no questions asked, even if it means switching from a base 3-4 to a base 4-3, this is the kind of impact player you change your defense for if you have too, but I concluded its a moot conversation because its never gonna happen. Oops!
I'm really surprised at the lack of respect being shown to Mike MacCagnan. Really no mention whatsoever about the forethought that must've gone into this by MacCagnan. I really believe it is going unnoticed.
Many NFL personnel talk about taking the BPA. They talk about it all the time, but hardly any have the discipline to follow through. MacCagnan followed through and that in itself is something to be respected. This pick raised a lot of eyebrows at the time because the Jets were already so well stocked at the defensive line.
I believe he also KNEW what kind of players he had on his team. He knew Sheldon was a moron and he likely knew what he had to do.
