misspoke.. play a journeyman next season & hope petty or another young QB (not yet on the roster) is ready to play the season after that..

I love it when fans pretend to know the real meanings behind statements made by the HC, GM, and owner. To stay true to your "won't back down" stance against Geno Smith, you take statements that suggest that Geno could be an option (Maccagnan), Geno is an option (Woody), and Geno matured a lot last season (Bowles) as a smoke screen being used to hide their true disgust of the player. You MUST let me know how you do it. Is the ability to read these tea leaves innate, or is it something mastered through Jedi mind training?
It's nice to see that you've learned how to control yourself regarding personal attacks, though. You might actually stick around here a little longer before being banned.

in your post you talk about poster not backing down from their stance.. what's to back down from?? the truth?? regardless of how much truth/facts gets thrown your way your response is always something like "i love how fans _______________.. i'll tell what you dont seem to "love" is losing a one sided debate.. nobody gets it but good ole brick, huh??

Todd Bowles has much respect for Geno on he carried himself last year after the fact
Doesn't mean Geno should be on the team, but look at this if the Jets keep Geno his compensatory pick could be more than we get for him in a trade or releasing him (nothing)
Just for sakes if Fitz is gone or not retained then Geno is the most experienced signal caller on the roster unless they sign a free agent
And if Fitz is gone, competition that TB preaches will be good for Petty and whomever they draft could compete with Geno for the starting role

I personally would like to turn the page on Geno but if he's matured and can help this team then so be it. I would also like to turn the page on Fitz. I personally think his stats last year is only a product of his weapons. Take away key one of them and he his stats drop down about 500-700 yards and down 10 TDs and up ints and fumbles. In other words, he ain't the answer either. Pipe dream for me I know but I'm hoping Petty is ready to go and bumps them all off the field. I want to go with the young and unknown and find that 15 plus year franchise QB. Obviously I'm not that interesting in Kaep or RGIII either, especially if Petty is ready to give us average play atleast and the weapons he has can carry him through this year.

But let me add this for fitz. He had no TE or real third WR last year so in that way he did a good job.......but I still agree backup or gone with him

Look folks I should be kinder to Woody because he does care & I don't hold his money against him. He just can't help getting in the way. It hurts the team. where he should not be he ends up. He is a weak owner & that is not good for the team. He does seem to be learning so there is hope.
look, if bowles is suddenly/inexplicably has become a smith fanboy, more power to him & the best of luck with that..
i doubt he'll have trouble finding a seat on that bandwagon..
TB respects the way Geno handled himself after the fact last season becoming a team first player... this doesn't mean he is in favor for him to get another chance to start... but at the same time he is keeping things even keeled with the team in flux with the Fitzpatrick situation... don't need this locker room split because both Fitz and Geno are on the outs...
