There is no conceivable reason to bring back Rodgers. We take a cap hit either way and usually you say then you just keep the guy, but Tyrod can be the bridge between Jordan Travis or another drafted QB. He is younger. He has had some success. He is way more mobile and the Jets OL is horrible. Teams seem to love him. The issue is injuries. Bring in another veteran after cutting Rodgers. Let JT be the 3rd QB unless ready to be backup which I doubt.

No QB could win with the Jets. It's just a horrible organization. Sam was too young to overcome two terrible HC's, two very bad GM's and a Woody. He has now had Shanahan and Kevin O'Connell. He is in the perfect situation for him.

You know that if Rodgers pops up on a team on our schedule the NFL will move heaven and earth to make it Week 1 MNF. They love making the Jets look bad, even though that is a less than herculean task.

And while he's at it, he should hire the GM before the coach, not the other way around. The GM should have a say in the matter.
