Rub what in? If they bring Rodgers back they are delaying the rebuild to becoming a competitive franchise for another season, for you as well as the rest of us. Plus it creates a $63 million cap hit for 2026. So Buffalo and Miami duke it out for the Division while the Jets continue with a soap opera that attracts unwarranted prime time appearances. Woody is fine with that but I would like to see a credible contender.

Actually you might wait for a while. For some arcane reason the best time to cut Rodgers (and Lazard) is in June. That would be after the draft, when one of the top QBs may unexpectedly fall to the Jets. So there is no good reason to rush, unless Rodgers makes a cap-friendly offer which is time-limited.

Though the 'best of Aaron Rodgers' IS when he is changing plays at the LOS and can use cadence without his idiot teammates false-starting every time. I agree with him there, it was ridiculous how Saleh tolerated that from his players.

In all fairness to the new HC and GM this Aaron Rogers situation is going to be difficult to navigate. They are going to want to demonstrate some immediate improvement and that is difficult without a starting caliber QB that can work with the current talent on the roster to bring the new additions up to speed. They are almost certainly going to be throwing a new system into the equation. They probably aren't naive enough to believe they can be super bowl contenders but they probably do expect to at least make the playoffs. You all know as well as I do that there are no better options available, and I stress better, than Rogers. That will figure into the picture as well. Yes I know Tyrod is still under contract but everyone knows he would likely not make it through a season. Travis is an unknown. I would not be surprised if they keep Rogers, if he decides to play, for one more season while they figure out how they are going to address the position.

No disrespect meant to anyone that thinks the QBs in this years draft are the answer for the Jets, but my honest opinion is that none of the top guys in this years draft are franchise QB material. They might prove me wrong but for my money they aren't worth the gamble. I'd reinforce the defense or offensive line instead. We really need a good, young, big right tackle. We may need replace Reed at corner. Just my thoughts.

Hey, I said if one of the top guys fall, I didn't say they'd be good.

We do need a right tackle, but would you normally take that guy at #7? It would be good to trade down to do that, but it never seems to happen. And we could do with a solid DT to set Q free again.
