Just seen this here. Great decision by Glenn. Sorry @Bigmoe, but we need to move on. I would rather they tried to reclaim Fields than another moribund Rodgers season, because at least there is a possibility of some future in it.Jets have told Rodgers they are moving on. Just saw this on Foxnews.com
I thought Tyrod was signed for 2 years.I don't believe they are going to go straight rebuild. Be prepared too hear the term "retooling ". They are going to trade for a veteran or sign someone like Wentz. It's what they do.
Come on. Woody isn't going with Ty as his QB. He wants the over the hill guy splash from the past guy.I thought Tyrod was signed for 2 years.
At least Wentz wouldn't bring in a string of uncuttable butt-buddies.Come on. Woody isn't going with Ty as his QB. He wants the over the hill guy splash from the past guy.
I doubt that seriously. I don’t think the new regime will want that!Watch LA. The Rams are supposedly thinking about trading Stafford. You know if there is even a kernel of truth to this, Woody will be all over this thing.
As for giving AR the gate, it was inevitable imo. Bad idea from the start.
Say goodbye to Devante as well.
No way He's getting that 35 mil from Woody.
Agree with these last two sentences. I don’t at all agree with these rest of this statement.New regime. Start fresh. I wish it worked, but we all knew deep down the Jets ruin everyone. If we are going to be mediocre then let Tyrod man the ship for a year. We will see a rookie or Travis play at some point because Tyrod is what he is.
You don't agree that it's a new regime?? You don't agree that it's a fresh start?? You can disagree, but it's all the truth/facts.Agree with these last two sentences. I don’t at all agree with these rest of this statement.
That may be true but I'm hearing that it has not actually happened yet. According to several well known reporters the Jets are not confirming that information at this time. I'm also hearing that his play is not the fly in the ointment. It's the dead cap money. So it seems that we will have to wait for the Jets front office to come forth officially with the decision. For some reason the Jets have always been slow at keeping their fans informed.Just seen this here. Great decision by Glenn. Sorry @Bigmoe, but we need to move on. That’s the obvious that it’s a new regime and fresh start, there no reason to even acknowledge that and you know it. It’s that BS you’re talking of you wishing it will work. Come on man, you know you really don’t and you’re probably the only Jets fan (or so-called Jets fan) in the world that feels that way. If they do win, you’d have nothing to complain about. Then again …You don't agree that it's a new regime?? You don't agree that it's a fresh start?? You can disagree, but it's all the truth/facts.
Financially it is best to cut him in June, so perhaps he stays on the books until then and making the decision now before the draft allows him the best chance of latching on with a contender. Of course if he DOES latch on elsewhere before we cut him, we can make it a trade and help our cap situation. That may be true but I'm hearing that it has not actually happened yet. How do you work that out? Cutting him gives us a $49 million cap hit, which we can take now or split between this year and next year by making him a post-June 1st cut. Keeping him gives us a $63 million cap hit next year when we need to sign some of our guys who are currently on rookie contracts.Good news is canning Rodgers leaves them no money to sign anyone for the next few years. Maybe they won’t be able to field a team. That would be cool
It'd be just like the Jets to whiff on Kirk Cousins and sign his brother Kurt Cousins the real estate salesman instead. But we likely can't afford Kirk Cousins anyway.I’ll unstick as soon as I hear it’s official:
What’s our over under wins this coming season ?
5 1/2 ?????
Who’s our QB ?
Now I’m hearing Kurt Cousins name around
Aaron Glenn :
“ We’re the friggin Jets “
They always certainly are
Ugh
Don't give up big moe as my first round picks are always great. Jack Daniels in the first. Always a winner during the seasonI’ll unstick as soon as I hear it’s official:

Correct. Doing the transaction post June 1st gives them the most financial relief. That's why I said above that Glazer's statement might be true. The Jets, however are not verifying this at this time. They may have told Rogers of their intent but have not yet taken any sort of action. We are back in WAIT AND SEE MODE as far as what is really happening. I have also heard that they are still talking with Rogers, about what I haven't been told.Financially it is best to cut him in June, so perhaps he stays on the books until then and making the decision now before the draft allows him the best chance of latching on with a contender.
