The problem with Lamar is his contract demands. Wants to be highest paid QB with a fully guaranteed long term contract.

I get that and they should do it. Fuck it, why not? He’s only 26 years old and already a MVP of the league. A unanimous MVP I might add. This dude is a beast and no one can deny his talent. He’s already proven and in that age range and talent capacity of dealing with the Mahomes, Burrow, Allen, Hurts, Herbert and Lawrence types.

He is exactly what the Jets need to content for the next 7-10 years. What will the Jets get out of Rodgers, if he decides to play for us? A good 2-3 years at most. He WAS an MVP. Hasn't come close to those numbers since. Been injured 11 games out of last 25. Thrown for 3K yards once. Those are the trends that matter. Lamar should have been drafted by the Jets. He is the last QB I would give a guaranteed contract to. Well maybe Jimmy G would be the last but Lamar is second to last. Just too much risk and too high of a cost. There is not a chance in hell Lamar plays for 10 more years. He will be lucky to play as long as Rodgers has left in his career.

He had to do everything for that team and had no real offense to help him. That wouldn’t be the case with the Jets. There’s weapons here that will allow him to just play basic QB. Not Superman!!!

I can understand this post to a certain extent. Just think of the team he had with the Ravens as opposed to what the Jets have now. He had a great TE running him and every other skilled player he had with him was average at best. He was running for his life most of the time to make things happen there. I think the Jets have a lot more to offer and if what I’m thinking is correct, the results should be much better!

His stats aren’t the same because he can’t stay on the field. If you are a great quarterback but can only go half a season how much do you really help your team?

Lamar should have hooked up with an agent. His fee would still be a higher net than going it alone. As good as he is, he doesn't know personnel from other teams, tricks of the trade, etc.
He's getting $32 MM where he could have gotten millions more, even with injury $133MM.
