Hey, I'm all for calling for oversight of corruption in all aspects of business, banking and government but this is not to be confused with foul paly. That's another unfair example you bring into the fray here. Not related.
I could go on for hours about our government alone but it's not the place and again, unrelated.

I’m over my hatred for Revis. He is the best CB in the league and one of the best ever. Go get Cro and a pass rusher and this defense will be great!! Finally a great off season and that coaching staff and FO is gone!!

I'm surprised that he came back. I'm even more surprised that it didn't cost us more money. I've never wavered on the fact that I believe he's the best cb in the game. I believe he'll be able to retain that status for at least three more seasons if not more(his game isn't based on speed. he's the most cerebral cb that I've watched play). If he's still a top 7 cb in 2018 at age 33, or he's a top free safety(like Woodson in Green Bay), the Jets will have no issue paying him the $11 mil. Same goes for 2019. The team is paying Harris $7.5 mil this year and he's probably not a top 10 lb anymore. I believe this deal is designed to make Revis the face of the franchise and have him retire a Jet.


Now, personally, I don't like how he handles business. IMO, if he acted like Mangold, Ferguson, and Harris back in 2010, none of this would ever have happened. Instead, he let his uncle and agents create a very acrimonious relationship between him and the team. He's back now, and I'll root for him to stay healthy and help us win a ton of games. I'll still never quite feel the same way about him as when he was drafted.

He doesn't make a difference, from what I've heard. The Pats still have Brady, and the Jets are awful at QB. That's all that matters. The Pats are still great, and the Jets still suck.

Tom Brady was so much better than Ryan Fitzpatrick last year, he had a whopping 97.4 passer rating. Fitzpatrick sucked, having a pitiful 95.3 passer rating.

So taking away the best CB in football from the Pats and putting him on the Jets doesn't do anything.

SE - gun to your head, predict division standings with the rosters as of today. Funny because that's exactly what they're talk I ng about on Sirius. They admit jets are far better than they were, but this is their (and my) prediction (hope I'm wrong):

1 - Pats
2 - Bills
3 - Phins
4 - Jets

One other note, they feels Pats and Broncos weaker, Colts are getting better and better...Colts pushing for SB run.

I flip 3 and 4, but think every team is likely between 8 and 11 wins.

i know you like to present this world against the jets narrative, but i watched both espn and nfl network last night after the revis deal was announced and everyone was saying how much better this made the jets.

yes, it is true that the pats are still the cream of the crop of the division. they are the defending champs and have a QB and HC that will both go down as among the greatest in the history of the game. so yes, the commentators will still say it's the pats division to lose, and they are 100% right.

but the jets have gotten very high marks for this move, with many noting how good this defense could be when you combine our front 7 with a much improved secondary anchored by revis. but even still, the pats have a huge advantage over us on offense, and especially QB, no matter how close the QB ratings of brady and fitz were. it's foolish to think fitz is almost as good as brady because their ratings were so close. one has 4 SB rings..the other is going on team #5 (or is it 6).

I know you like to act as though the media treat the Jets the same way they treat the Pats, but I guess you didn't hear Judy Battista on NFL Network.

well cowherd is an idiot, so i could care less what he says.

i heard what i heard. praise for the jets and comments that the defense could be very good. also reality that yes, we still have questions at QB, which happens to be the most important position on the field.

Of course we still have questions about QB. But Batista said that taking the best CB in football from the better team and putting him on the worse team would have a negligible difference.

I take it you agree with Battista, then, that the gap really hasn't narrowed in any significance.
