Blockbuster possible draft trade talk rumors between Jets and Eagles

Mehta reports Jets and Eagles may possibly be talking a trade for multiple draft picks and Foles for the Jets #6 draft pick if Mariota is available. Anyone have anymore news on this or is this just BS?

it is a possibility but I think eagles would want to jump the jets for fear or redskins taking him.

Yes because geno is so much better? And mariota is just a Samoan version of him coming from the spread and having drop back issues and such. I think if the jets are lucky enough to pull foles and draft picks for one pick, you do it. And it wouldn't be a franchise crippler because foles's rookie deal is up at years end. So if he sucks he can walk. Foles is 26, nfl proven, and has had success.

It would be great if the Jets could pull this off. Metha was talking the first and second for this year and next plus Foles. Hell yeah you take that deal!

You're right regarding the risk factor. If you can acquire their 1st for next year, that can be used for next year's draft class of QB's if Foles doesn't work out and he is on his rookie deal. This trade makes a lot of sense for the Jets especially if/when Winston and Cooper are gone and Mariota is nothing more than a rookie Geno who will require a steep learning curve in a pro-set offense. And Foles, who threw 26/2 ratio two years ago is a better option than anyone else out there.

But I wouldn't get excited over this story because it is Manish, who is really Incarcerated Bob. And he/they simply connect dots based on reading these forums to generate readership. It's good business, really.

I agree that this is all fodder, but I'd still like to see it happen. If we stockpiled picks, and somehow got Foles, it'd be a good deal for NYJ.

If a deal like this is presented you absolutely take it. I'll believe it when I see it. That said I think we will be getting calls at the 6 spot at don't think Eagles will want to offer a deal that rich to a division rival at #5
