4 SB titles in the Cap era as the best player on the team all 4 times.

Manning has better stats but in my opinion he is a choke artist and always will be. Favre up there but doesn't really have better stats. Marino has no rings.

Montana had better teams around him.

Elway couldn't win without Davis.

Unitas and Starr played in a different era. Before my time and can't really say i know much about them. Need your help to evaluate them.

Personally, I don't think that you can call him the greatest ever. Bill Belichick is the greatest coach ever and Brady has been very lucky to play for him his entire career and has benefited from it. They are by far the greatest combo ever but I don't think that you can say Brady is the greatest quarterback ever.

Obviously he should be listed along with Greats like John Elway, Joe Montana, and Dan Marino.

And I don't wanna be that guy... but Brady and the Patriots have had some controversy around a couple of their SB wins. SpyGate, DeflateGate, etc... None of those other guys have that.

BB and Brady are the best because they did it in the Cap era. Now just think if Hess would have stuck with BB in 1997 or Had the Tuna left in 1999 maybe BB would have stayed and the Jets could have been the winning cheaters..

Like I always say Fans always let their emotion overrule their intellect.. Does BB push every rule to the limit sure he does and in some cases goes even further.. So did Don Shula who was on the competition committee.. He even got away with flooding the field for AFCCG against the Jets to hurt the RB,W/R's and front four.. Al Davis was known to pull some behind the scenes tricks also..

Montana won 4 bowls but he only got to 4.. Brady has gone to 6 and Montana had more HOF players then Brady has had..Montana left and Young won a Bowl and was playoff bound ever year with that team.. For all the Jet fans that cry about we need a 1st rd pick for this position or that position.. In this Bowl we had a 6th rd QB against a 3rd rd QB who was throwing to not 1 W/R that was even drafted.. At least Brady has Gronk 2d rd,Lefall 3rd rd,Edelman 7th rd and Amendola UDFA..

What you say is true. But having watched both Montana and Brady in all their SB's, I am more impressed with Montana's performances. And you can't really hold the fact that Montana had good players around him as a point against him. We can't really know if Montana would have done the same with lesser players. And I don't remember Montana as a guy who had to be bailed out by his receivers to make up for poor passing. It's true Montana didn't do much when he went to the Chiefs. But the Chiefs were really a lot weaker team than Montana's 49ers were.

Brady is a miracle catch and a wide open miss from being 6-0...he played good enough to win every bowl but came up short barely....dude plays for a guy that finds any type of way to get a competitive advantage I can only pray that the new crew running the Jets will do the same

Not saying Rice didn't help. But I think he could have been replaced by a (somewhat) lesser talent and the 49ers still could have won. Chiefs were a playoff team, but not close to the niners. After all, it takes a whole team to win a SB.

montana was 20-12 in the two years he was with the chiefs, the first year he lost in the conference championship game and in the second year he lost in the wild card game either way he took the chiefs to the playoffs two years in a row he was there.
