two things.. if this doesn't seal the deal for smith supporters on how marshall (& very likely, that locker room) truly feels about both fitzpatrick & smith, nothing ever will.. nothing.....

second thing is, fitzpatrick has a very interesting sense of fashion.. LOLz he looks like he lost a bet..

jeezbus!!
Absolutely no tweets this year about his boy geno.

In today's nfl, teams are working out less, and QB's are protected.

He knows this system, and in fact just last year missed the off season program worth a broken leg. When he took over for Geno he was just doing glorified walk throughs. Of course maximum practice time is important, but the Jets also haven't given a deadline.

It is hysterical how the media just wants to juice out a negative Jets story in the worst way.
"BOTH SIDES SEEMS FAR APART" is their mantra when they have become so clueless on how Maccagnan operates.

IMHO, Fitz will be a Jet very soon and this whole "Lets roll withe Geno" will come to an end faster than the Enron debacle.

This may be the first day I have doubted this gets done. Right now, I have actual, serious doubt.

Remembering last off season and the start of training camp,B. Marshall and Geno were living together and working out. The start of training camp if memory serves me well, B. Marshall wouldn't even take passes from Fitzpatrick. What a difference a year makes.
Right now, Fitzpatrick is the best option at QB for the Jets. I also think last year was his absolute ceiling. No matter what he signs for, i believe, he will not duplicate last years numbers. Maybe if the Jets defense plays even better than last year, which it should, that'll be good enough to get to last years record. Especially if the special teams improves.
Camps open, Let's Go Jets.

If Fitz signs ,good. If not I'd like to see what Petty has. Petty has a big arm & is accurate with a lot more TD's in College with low INT's compared to anyone else at QB. Big thing is accuracy at QB. You know NFL the QB has a very tight window to pass in to not be Intercepted. Geno telegrphs who he is passing to & cant make quick decisions under Center, but does better from Shotgun. The 3rd rookie QB is a question to Draft. He isnt accurate at all & cant handle pressure making horrible decisions that is for INT's. IMO he was a waste of a high Draft pick.

After surgery Revis might improve over last year's uninspiring performance, Cromartie was a shell out there. So a healthy Revis, Williams in the mix, and skrine make me feel like the secondary is improved. Milner could be a nice piece.

Our line has another year together, and we have youth and speed at lb. I think all 3 units will be improved.

Special teams can't be worse.

If Clady returns to form, our o line is improved and certainly capable.

I feel Forte is a net positive over ivory because of ivory inconsistency at staying on the field.

Amaro should make the te position a threat.

Our WR's have another year in the system, and I like peake and his potential.

I feel Fitz will have another 30td season with the added threats of Forte and Amaro. That gives him 5 short to mid range threats on the field.

If geno plays, his long ball potential certainly adds to the offense.

Ian Rapoport reporting that Jets working hard to get Fitz under contract in time for Thursday's opening practice. May be wishful thinking, but wouldn't shock me especially with the way Mo's contract got done on time.

Jets might make one last run at Ryan Fitzpatrick
Nick Shook
NFL.com

Jets players have reported to camp. Ryan Fitzpatrick wasn't among that group. Rinse and repeat.

But wait! Could we have a sudden breakthrough on the Ryan Fitzpatrick stalemate?

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday on NFL Network's Inside Training Camp Live there's a feeling that the Jets will make one last run at Fitzpatrick, trying to sign him before practice starts Thursday.

We've covered how Fitzpatrick's absence will prompt the ascension of Geno Smith, and an added reliance on rookie Christian Hackenberg (and the overlooked Bryce Petty) as backups. The future is uncertain without Fitzpatrick under center, compared to a 10-win campaign that ended with the Jets tantalizingly close to the playoffs and Fitzpatrick among the greatest Jets passers ever.

It's a running tale that has grown tired, has struck fear in the heart of one Jets receiver and has dominated offseason conversation surrounding the team. Never mind that New York just signed its first-round pick on Wednesday; any hope to remedy the situation at signal-caller takes precedence.

While coach Todd Bowles assures media members that he has full confidence in Smith, actions behind the scenes signal otherwise. Might FitzMagic return to Florham Park, New Jersey, and later, Metlife Stadium? We must wait and see.
