Good player and fast, but kinda small for covering TE's, I like him better verses the quick little slot WR's. Also McDougle is no slouch. He's bigger than Skrine and he might be a better player too. I don't think its unlikely that he can become the Nickel. I see it as more of a 50-50 battle IF McDougle stays healthy and doesn't miss any snaps in training camp (BIG IF).

More like 90-10, imo...I feel thats optimistic.

I don't think Bowles is going to let money dictate who plays where and who sits. He's from the Parcells school and he played for Joe Gibbs, he'll go by what he sees, and the best players will play. If Skrine looks like the best Nickel in camp, he'll be the Nickel, but if McDougle clearly beats him out, I think its a job he can win. Granted its Skrine's job going into camp, but IMO its not a job he can't lose, he'll be pushed by McDougle and I suspect he'll have a fight on his hands to keep it. Either way, if such a battle develops its a good thing, that means we'll be strong at Nickel and Dime.

Maybe I'm overrating our Guards, but right now I'm a lot more concerned with RT. I wish we had a better starter there than Breno. I suppose we can live with Breno, but I wish we had upgraded that spot.

...well, you know Breno is our problem at RT. I have no doubts about that.

But we don't even know who our problem is at RG...because we don't know if we even have someone on the roster who can play the position.

YEP. It sounds like he's acknowledging what he is. He knows he's been an injured bum and he cannot argue that point. So he gets very defensive without actually committing to change. Because he knows that is unlikely.

He's not defeated. I think that's obvious by what he's saying, but he's also readily admitting that he has no answers to the criticism.

I'm comfortable that if Todd Bowles is truly all about the best player playing, Ryan Fitzpatrick will surely win the QB competition. It is very early, but Geno is the same stupid A$$ he's always been. Meanwhile, Fitz is claiming he'll be ready to compete at full go for TC. He's clearly the better QB based on the numbers, he has far more experience, and even at this early juncture he's already making Geno look inferior.

Of course that doesn't take much.

Like seeing some positive and no negative tweets about Evans and Enunwa. Hoping one of these guys makes it; my guess is Enunwa because of his STs ability.

When I saw that Geno threw 3 INT's on the first day of mini camp, I was like ... uh oh, batten down the hatches! :eek:
