I don't see how you could possibly say the OL is a weaker unit than QB . . .
OK QB is weaker..but has more potential..the OL is what it is..mediocre at best...and the point is..when the QB looks bad..it works hand in hand with the OL

It's three lousy days in June that mean nothing in the grand scheme of things. Come September when the bullets fly for real, no one on the Jets (incuding management) will recollect his absence from "Mini-Camp".
Yet Devin will always remember the best day of his life.
I personally feel fathers always remember "THAT day" especially being there with the love of their life. That is truly the turning point of their life. Yet, unless its a dead beat dad.

Ham, With all due respect, i honestly think your really underestimating the birth of a child.
Three days my man that you can have back in the 20 -25 plus days of training camp, not to mention the rest of the season practice sessions. He can never have back the great Bond that all three of them share the moment life comes into this world.
He's a 2nd rounder, he aint getting cut. He can ill afford to miss three measly days. The birth of his child wont define him as a football player, but more so as a father figure who places family first, above all things...ALL THINGS.

Gates was also a return man -- not that it matters now. Owusu should be in the mix for the 5th or 6th WR spot and I would not necessarily count out Walter Powell just yet. I think he is the only guy on our roster who has experience as both a KR and PR. He did both in college and he returned kicks and punts last season. Owusu has only returned kicks, not punts. And Powell did open some eyes yesterday beating Revis for a TD.
Id love to keep both, but I get your point. Likely only 1. Can't wait to see them return kicks, punts, and see what they do with Petty.

As any good Qb will tell you, a QB with more time to pass will make an average QB look good and a good QB look great. QBs with time to throw are better QBs, that's a fact, regardless of how good they are.
However, QBs without an oline has to make quick throws, allowing defenses to cheat off deep routes, causing eventual turnovers...that's also fact. QBs can only hide bad oline so much, but olines can hide mediocre QB play.
OL is indeed mediocre at best, but fortunately, with Mangold there, and with a slowing but still decent Ferguson at LT, it's also probably mediocre at worst.
