Jets have me worried... which makes the Mets surprise so enjoyable to me. Gives me one team to get excited over along with Rangers. Your Icelanders have a great young core. Should be competitive for the next decade

The Mets 1B left Friday's game in the seventh inning with a back injury. He had just returned to the lineup Tuesday after missing six games with a strain in his lower back. Lefty reliever Dario Alvarez took Duda's place on the roster, saving rookie Michael Conforto from being demoted. Duda is hitting .246 with 21 HRs this seaosn.

The Mets made another deal with the Braves, acquiring INF/OF Eric Young Jr. for cash considerations, the team announced Saturday.
Young, 30, will report to Triple-A Las Vegas. He hit .169 with no home runs and five RBIs in 35 games in the majors this year, and .248 with one home run and 27 RBIs in 67 minor-league games.
The Mets acquired Kelly Johnson and Juan Uribe from Atlanta last month.

Well... That Verrett move worked out nicely for us. Pitched a heck of a game at Coors. We get the win and free Harvey up to pitch important innings in October.
That Robles kid hitting 99 consistently on the gun. Teach him how to throw the change-up to go along with the slider and we'll have something there. Blew CarGon away with 89(slider)99 and 99 heat.
Loved seeing that huge contingent of Mets fans at Orioles game and at Colorado. Players loving it.

Never saw that coming from Verrett. After giving up 18 runs the previous two games, I expected another game like the last two. Great game from the kid. Lead remains at 5.
Now, we take on the Phillies without Met-killer Chase Utley. Agree that we need 3 of 4 in this one.

I turned the game off after we fell behind 7-2. Got an alert on my phone that we were up 8-7 and then watched the rest of the way. CCan't say enough bout the record setting offense over the last few days, but as almost as impressive was the bullpen. Shutting down the Phillies completely after the bad start.
DeGrom deserved this one from the lineup and the pen after teh way he carried the team early. Feeling a lot better about the bullpen after the last few outings. Looking like Robles might be that 7th inning guy we have been looking for.
