You need to be a league darling to get the calls. The Pats have been for a couple decades. The Bills are now a league darling.

The Jets will never be allowed to be a league darling, for a few reasons:

1. Fans in other cities already think the league is somehow pro-Jets because the league offices are in NYC and Goodell was a Jets intern for a few months four decades ago,
2. The Giants are the establishment team in New York, so if anyone would be the league darling in New York, it would be them, and
3. As long as Bill Belichick has so much power in the league and a vendetta against the Jets, they never will get anything.

At least short term, RG is a bigger issue than C is. I wouldn't be opposed to Linderbaum, but if they addressed guard first, I would be fine with it.
