Our OL situation as of right now

everyone right now saying it is Mekhi Becton job to lose at left tackle but to whom there is no one competing for that job.
at right tackle everyone has been waiting for Max Mitchell to come in and take the job, which he has not done yet.
we signed veteran Billy Turner who looks washed up. outside these three we have no one cemented at either tackle position.

AVT nursing a minor injury is the key option. If Becton does not prove he is the guy then neither should it be Mitchell or Turner.

From a standpoint right now, AVT makes the most sense to pencil in as the starter until one of the other three prove they can do the job.

I hate to say this but right now no option outside the overpaid guard Laken Tomlinson to play left guard, this only will work if we know our left tackle is secure and that is AVT as the lock down starter.

I have no faith in Connor McGovern as the starting center, the rookie can come in with two veterans on either side of him helping him grow. Yes that means our guards Laken and CMG gives Tipps the best chance to be anything but a turnstile.

Finally brings us back to the other tackle spot and we have three options to win that job. As of right now none of the three deserve to be rotational options but one of the three could win the job or they can rotate them in and out until someone steps up and takes it.

So for me right now our OL to start the season should be this:

Left T: Alijah Vera Tucker
Left G: Laken Tomlinson
Center: Joe Tippmann
Right G: Connor McGovern
Right T: Mekhi Becton/Billy Turner/Max Mitchell (Who gives a fuck)

Max last year was a rookie, ended up on IR with blood clots. Since coming into this season something is just not right with him. He could turn it around but he is an agile lineman the rest of our OLM are power guys and Hackett's scheme needs Power style OLM.

Gonna be interesting if he is not expendable by season's end.

at Disney last week talked to an old guy working there who was a transplant from Long Island. Asked if he was jets fan. He said jets/ Mets, but more into baseball. He had some good stories of baseball games he was at…

his Jets story was about Namath selling his soul for the one SB win and the curse. He has another part to the story I had never heard

he said, any time it looks like the Jets might be good, a large black cloud shaped like Namath’s nose shows up over the stadium

anybody been to jet camp and noticed that cloud this year?

6 sacks in 10 plays against the Bucs defense in joint practice.

no definitive starting o line yet. And at the start of the season, whichever o line starts will not of played together yet. Combine that with our early schedule and I’m feeling a little sick

He will probably be activated in time to get a week of practice before first regular season game. Per the team he is an experienced vet and can step right in.

I'm not sure g is correct about that. We're running the same blocking scheme as last year.

Becton has been regaining the confidence that his knee will hold up.
Mitchell looks like a backup right now.

I'm not Alfred E Neuman regarding the o-line but I'm not in panic mode either. We have ammo to get another lineman.

Seems to be a confidence issue with Mitchell right now. He was thrown in to the fire last season due to the injuries, got injured himself,then the blood clots ended his season right after he returned from the injury. He was a project and not expected to play for a season or two. He just doesn't seem ready yet.

Tippman is outplaying McGovern. He shouldn't scare you.

The Panthers game made me feel pretty good about the offense. I hear you and your concerns but I trust the oc. Yes it takes time to gel but it should only take a couple of games...not half the season..

BTW, Mitchell scares me.
