Agree.... 41 turnovers...that is right 41 (34 INTs and 7 fumbles). Now you want to be shocked add lamo Mark S with his 52 turnovers his last two years and you have 93 TO.... I am shocked we won any games. Geno is a turnover machine and like Main said he is a one read QB destine to be a B-up at best.
Ia'm sorry, but i have to respectfully disagree. Had the Jets drafted any of the other QB's i feel the general consensus would be that hopefully next year we'll draft some one else.
Outside of Mariota & Winston, Petty blows all the other QB's out of the water. Sure he was a system QB, but thats what Art Briles asked of him to do, and he thrived in it. Bryce is a student and as passionate of the game as i've ever seen (the likes of Brady & Pennington passionate). He wears his emotion on his sleeve and his teammates know it.
He has every intangible that makes a QB succesful in this league. He has a cannon of an arm, more than the aforementioned QBs that were drafted this weekend. Plus, he does know a thing or two about the spread offense, a scheme Gailey runs. He has to make adjustments and thats why McCaggnan & Bowles made it quite clear he will most likely sit this year. Unless he showcases Russll Wilson'esque skills this summer.
Most likely he does sit, which is the best approach.
I love how Petty wasn't "Star struck" with Jon Gruden grilling him. He's very cool and collective. Especially on the chalk board.. The kid has Moxy fellas!

Once he learns and settles down, we will absolutely have GREAT years with this kid under center.
We have the right coaches and the right GM to calm him down and give him the necessary time to adequately groom him properly. Not like the previous regime who wanted to see results immediatley.
*McCaggnan will surround him with talent he can grow with
*Gailey will coach him and place him in the best possible scenarios to grow
*Fitz (smart dude) will show Bryce the ropes on the NFL style spread offense.
*Bowles will know when the time is right for Petty to take the lead role.
No rush, this regime knows what their doing. No need to destroy a young QB potential like Rex did with Mark & Geno.

He has all the physical tools needed to be great. It's up to Gailey now to teach him the pro game. I have a good feeling but only time will tell.
