With the team Mac has assembles and as disciplined i feel Bowles will have this team, i see no reason this team won't be in the hunt for a playoff spot. This team is too good. With Fitz leading the way, the team will be dangerous on both sides of the ball, hell even special teams with Devin Smith.

Weak schedule, much better team following a strong off season and draft, Geno should be better in year three, and I have a good feeling about Bowles.

12-4 I think the toss ups come to Rex game planning against players he knows well. But with so many bad teams and our dominant d,our record could be the biggest turnaround in recent memory.

I don't like picking individual games there are too many variables. I do think we are a 9 or 10 win team this year. Still being an optimistic time of year I will cast my vote for 10.

I voted 7-9. I cannot see this team being any better than that with Fitzpatrick and Geno at QB. It's going to be truly demoralizing this season. Our defense and running game is going to do an excellent job doing their parts only to see our two QB's give the games away.

Way to early need to wait till after pre-season. If revis or mangold gets hurt we have a new ballgame. Need to see who makes the roster after pre-season to fully evaluate.

What if Fitzpatrick went out there and put up great numbers? Like a 2:1 TD/INT ratio, a completion percentage around 63%, somewhere in that ballpark, passer rating top 10 in the league. Would that change their record?

I guess it is a little early..but for the most part..right now.talent wise..the team is what it is going to be...so even aside from astronomical coaching break throughs with Geno/Fitz.....they will be fine....at the least...

Think back to last year..how many big drives did Jets mess up on defense cos...the secondary struggled/sucked.....?? Like I said..for the most part....that will not happen NOW..instead of the Lions getting a 3rd and 13 from their own 30..to the Jets 45...the other team will punt and the Jets will have another opportunity

i went with 9-7. i generally feel this is an 8-8ish team right now, until we can see if the QB play steps up. so being a bit on the optimistic side, i went to 9-7. that doesn't mean i don't think they are capable of more, but i'm trying to dim the lenses on my green shades...

I think those stats that Sack posted were Fitz's actual numbers last year. He didn't give many games away last season, so what makes you think he will this season?

The AFC East could come down to the Jan. 3 game vs Buffalo. The defensive battle of the century. Unfortunately it is on the road.

Of course, the hoped for decline of the Pats and injuries for the other 3 teams are the key.

Last year there were many close losses that would have been turned around with a few breaks and a DB or two. Plus the coaching (time management, play calling, silly penalties) cost dearly.

I put the Jets down for 10 wins +/- 4 (at the third standard deviation). I expect one of the more entertaining seasons in this team's history

+1 agree. Hoping for 10-6 but all the teams now in the AFC east hates us, so those 6 games are crucial.
